I have a lot of hair and thick hair. I end up using almost 4 pumps from the gallon for my weekly cleanses. I have noticed that our water has lots of chlorine in it (it almost smells like a pool to me). I recently purchased the paragon shower filter (after researching and reading reviews) from homedepot.com (not available in stores). I have installed it (beware it can decrease water pressure). I live with my Mom...and both of us have discovered we need less WEN for our 2 cleanses...and hair is as soft as could be. It made the WEN 10 times better. I am sure over time we will see a bigger difference. But this could be why some people are not getting the best experience from their purchases.....but also is a tip that can help you use less (with same, if not better, results). I think the filter was $20. I think the chlroine and other additives can deplete the purpose of WEN due to all the chemicals. We could actually feel a difference just cleansing our hair. I am hoping this will help with the minimal fading my Mom still gets with her hair color.
