Not a fan---I tried it too and found I could not get the stuff out of my hair and ended up a greasy mess---and for me , it takes way to long to do your hair in the shower--

About 6 months ago I purchased WEN for the first time - it was a set of six!   Tried it for cleaning my hair, but my hair felt so weighted/heavy after using it and would not hold a curl.

Left it in the shower to use occasionally just as a conditioner.  I would put a super small amount just on the ends of my hair and it worked ok for that purpose.

While in the shower this a.m. I forgot that I had not replaced my empty shampoo, so all I had to use was WEN.  Used it as directed and again my hair is terrible.  I'm having a very bad hair day today!

Has anyone else had the same experience?    I don't want to throw it out as I spent, what I consider, to be a lot of money for it.  So I guess I'll continue to use it only as a conditioner, but since I use so little, and I have so many bottles, it could last me a lifetime!

The cool water rinse has been recommended by hairstylists for years. It actually helps to close of the pores from the hair follicles which allows the color of your hair to look better but also retain your "color" should you process your hair. I've always rinsed my hair in cool water because of that and it really works. It also prevents "frizz". It's not a WEN thing

I had a terrible experience with it too.  I kept thinking that if everyone else was raving about it, it must be good and that I was probably doing something wrong. Nope. Two expensive monthly plumber visits later to unclog my shower drain, I discovered that it wasn't me. I will never use Wen again.

My hair left my head after using it for several months...hair and money DOWN the DRAIN.  I'm still trying to recover.

Re: WEN Is Not For Me

[ Edited ]

WEN didn't work for me. It made my hair feel greasy and dirty, and heavy.  It was so bad, I had to rewash  it a few times with shampoo to get it back to normal.

I had several bottles and gave them to my daughter who loved WEN.

I am a hair stylist.  My take on WEN is that if your hair is in great condition to begin with..no dryness or frizz, WEN is too strong for your hair type.  The cuticle layer of hair in great condition is tight and smooth.  WEN can't be absorbed into the hair shaft, so It sits on top of each strand like a big oil slick

Not every product made is perfect for everyone.

Wow, you know this sure seems like a bait thread to me. Chaz was here, now he's gone so bring on the Wen bashing.
