Just wanted to give my 2 cents opinion here. Haircare is like skincare. It may not work for everyone. I've used skincare that people rave about but it caused severe breakouts for me and I stopped using it. I'm not going to sue someone because it didn't work for me and I didn't tell people not to purchase it because it didn't work for me. I also didn't cause a panic to create a mob mentality about it It just didn't work for me - no biggie. I've used Wen for over 2 years and my hair is not falling out in clumps. Does hair come out in the shower, yes, but even though it looked like a ton, I actually counted it and it was about 150 hairs after 2 days of not washing it. I have less hair fall-out during non-wash days meaning less all over my pillow and floor. I notice a big difference for the better with Wen. It works, for me. I switched to shampoo once during my Wen time and my hair was a dried out mess. Am I saying that it MUST work for everyone, of course not. If it doesn't work for you, stop using it. I think everyone needs to stop making blanket statements either way. Wen may not be for everyone like every other product on the planet. And everyone screaming because it's expensive - hey, if you don't want to buy it, don't. There are plenty of other high-end haircare that's just as expensive or buy drugstore brands, it's not rocket science. Like skincare - use drugstore or use high-end. Whatever works for you, just don't cause a panic and yell at people not to try something that may work for them because it doesn't work for you. Bottom line, we all have a right to choose what we buy. And if it works for us, then more power to us.

Some people actually got angry and lit into me!!! Basically called me a liar. Whatever. Like I said. It's different with each person.
This same thing happened to me a couple of years ago when I tried Wen and my hair started falling out.
I contacted Chaz Dean Studios and let them know about it and I also let them know about the Wen girls on this forum attacking people like rabid jackals. They were very nice and apologized for that behavior as well as expressed Chaz's extreme disappointment in the Wen users on this forum.
I wanted to use and like Wen, but it does not work for me. Not everything is for everyone. I don't understand why some don't understand that. It's seems they think the Wen forum is for fans only. Express only love for the product or don't bother to post there.
They apologized for the behavior on this forum but said nothing about your hair falling out??
Ummm....ok.

They recommended that I stop using the product immediately. They also asked me if I felt the need to see a doctor. They were very nice about everything.

Blogs are intended for people to post comments - pro or con -- about products and/or issues. There will certainly be disagreements as there are in any situation when dealing with the masses. You can choose to read them or not read them, agree with them or not agree with them. I do believe there is an effect of hair loss for some as the circumstances are too similar to ignore. Blog or no blog, I am choosing to stop using WEN as I don't want to risk any more hair loss, whether it's the product or not. It's my choice, as it is yours.

oh geez, not again.
I'll wait until this evening when I have some wine to read through all the posts. I want to get the most entertainment as I can!

This is a discussion forum, not a blog though. And while blogs do usually have a comments section under each individual blog entry, blogs primary purposes are generally for the sharing of information and not specifically about back and forth discussions.

And you can choose to read the posts or not from people who don't believe it causes hair loss. You can agree with them or not. I mean, it goes both ways, right? Everyone has their opinion and can voice those opinions, hence the reason for this forum. Not everyone is going to agree with everything people say and that is okay. What I find funny is that those accusing WEN users of getting all up in arms if someone says it causes hair loss are actually some of the worst offenders of this! If someone believes that something is not causing hair loss, right or wrong, that is their opinion and they can express it, just like you or anyone else can express that they feel it is.
With that said, I believe, LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE OUT THERE, that some can have a reaction to it. That is normal, that is life. I had reactions to other brands of haircare and skincare. So what. I stopped using the product and moved on. I don't try to drive my point home every chance I get though like some on these forums do. It is bizarre how much energy some put towards bashing WEN whenever they can.
And WEN wouldn't be around as long as it had if so many people didn't use and love it with success as compared to those that didn't have.
So while I do believe some have had issues, it is a very minor percentage, just like it is with other brands and products but those WEN users are more vocal about it, at least on these forums.
And it is not a blog- these are forums.

Ouch, I stand corrected. FORUM, not blog. Same message. I see what they mean now.
