ANOTHER OLD post revived in honor of Chaz's upcoming visit by yet ANOTHER '1 post wonder'.

Wonder WHO revived this one?

Or could it be .....more of the same?

Re: WEN AND HAIR LOSS

[ Edited ]

Hello, MudQuest and welcome. Smiley Happy

I think regular WEN is too harsh for a child's hair and scalp. Chaz makes WEN Kids or you can try something else.

Just curious, on what do you base your opinion? Smiley Happy

If one was losing hair why would they not go to a doctor??  Unbelievable!

Blood work is usually taken to make sure the thyroid gland or an autoimmune disease isn't the culprit.

Other reasons for hair loss include extreme stress; physical trauma like surgery or intense illness; dramatic weight loss over a short period of time; and taking too much Vitamin A.

And hair loss can occur a couple of weeks to six months after any of these experiences. “Someone can have surgery and be just fine and then two weeks later their hair starts falling out.

Every time I see this topic and read the comments, I think some of the posters are either related to Chaz Dean or own stock in WEN. The intensity of the comments and how adamant some posters are that NO ONE experieces hair loss from this shampoo makes me think they must be connected to WEN somehow. Everyone will have a different experience with this or any product; just because one person had a good experience doesn't mean that everyone will.

Common sense says go to a doctor.  There is NO credibility without a professional diagnosis from a physician.

Unfortunately, some people are sorely lacking in the common sense department.

After using WEN & experiencing some hair loss (thinning & finding more in shower drain than usual), I asked my stylist & others using WEN about their experiences. We all feel that the build up of oils and silicones in each product from cleansers to styling cream to mousse to oils to the mask keep the follicles on the scalp clogged up and the hair either falls out or the thinning is due to the inability to be able to grow back. I switched to Kiehl's S&C & in the last 3 months have noticed less hair in brush & shower floor, hair shiny & smooth, and more money in my bank account...no additional list of "required" products!!!

I started using Wen cleaning conditioner several years ago.  This past summer my hair starting coming out in globs.  My bathroom and shower was a mess.  I tried to ignore it until my husband mentioned.  Now when I lift the sides of my hair up it is super thin.  I threw all my produtcs out.  I loved the softness of my hair but I can't aforrd to lose any more hair.  I hope it grows back!
