You women are awsome. I have recieved such good advice on this board. Better then the internet. I did order Timeless because of the price and I will look at the other products posted. Thanks to all who replied.

Has anyone here tried The Ordinary skincare line? Wonder about their Vit C selections, they have 4. One is a suspension so has the gritty powder feel, 2 are serums and the one I'm thinking about is cream based. Their prices are mind blowing and its free shipping if your order is over $25 US dollars.

FYI, Timeless is running a promotion of a bottle of their C plus a bottle of Matrixyl 3000 (both appear to be 1 oz) for $35 (would be ~$48, I think), no code required, through 2/14. They also have codes on their home page for 10% to 30% off if you buy 2, 3, or 4 items. Don't know when they expire.

I got their email regarding this special and if it wasn't because I just bought the Vit. C serum, I'd go for it, but I don't want the new one to oxidize while I'm using up the one I have! Darn it!

@segrl21, I am using several products from The Ordinary line including the MAP 10% cream. I am using it, because that type of Vitamin C can be used with Niacinamide (which is supposed to help with pores and discoloration). I am using their recommended regimen for pigmentation issues every morning: alpha arbutin, niacinamide, and then the MAP (followed by sunscreen, of course).
Before this, I was using the Timeless Vitamin C serum, because I wasn't using the alpha artubin and niacinamide in the AM. I liked the Timeless just fine...really liked the consistency...but I didn't see any brightening or sun spot lightening while using it. I refrigerated it, and it lasted me 4 months. Surely in 4 months I would have seen some change in my skin? At any rate, I decided to try the MAP along with the other two products...have been using it for about two weeks now.
The downside to the MAP, is that I can see that 1 oz. of it will not last very long. I'm thinking I have maybe 2-3 more weeks in this tube, and that will be it, so even though it is inexpensive to start with (9.60), if you have to buy a new tube every 5 weeks or so, that will add up fast. I like the consistency of it, and my moisturizer/sunscreen/primer/makeup play well with it.

I am also using three products from The Ordinary. I 'cocktail' together two of their serums, Ascorbyl glucoside 12% and Niacinamide 10%, and then apply their Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% cream on top of the two serums. Neither of these Vit. C products conflict the with the niacinamide serum, the main reason I purchased them.
Now, I'm a born skeptic and have *never* experienced any brightening effects from using L-ascorbic acid Vit. C serums for years. The only thing I've experienced from using L-ascorbic acid Vit. C serums is irritation. That said, I decided to give up searching for the perfect L-ascorbic acid serum and look to Vit. C derivatives instead.
I've been using the serum combo described above for 8 weeks now and I have noticed a *slight* brightening effect. At first I thought I was imagining it but I've had to slightly adjust the color of my foundation, so I know it's not just wishful thinking. I just started using the MAP cream over the serums at night as I didn't want to use too many new products at once in case of adverse reactions. So far, I really, really like all three products and will repurchase and have had no adverse reactions at all.
The two serums above have a lot of slip and spread easily, yet are not greasy or sticky. Great for those with oily skin, those with dry skin will need to use a moisturizer on top of them. The MAP cream is a thickish white cream but not overly moisturizing; again, great for those with oily skin but probably not so great for those with very dry skin as they will have to use another moisturizer over it.

@River Song, I enjoyed reading your review. You give me hope for the MAP!

Thank you for answering. There aren't many reviews on MAP, the other serums yes but few on MAP. Think I will order it and a few more things. Paulas choice my goto brand is just becoming too expensive. Hoping this is a good competitor.

I'm planning on starting out with the MAP only and then add a serum later and as you said put the MAP over it. I'm really excited for this line. The founder/skin chemists for the Ordinary has blog and really interesting articles on skincare which makes me very excited to try it.
