I hate to hijack your thread, Anniecamp, but I was wondering if any of you ladies can answer this question. I'm currently using Philosophy's Vitamin C booster in powder form, primarily because I can mix it with the SKINN Collagenesis serum I currently use. But the powder is messy and inconvenient to mix.

I'd like to switch to a Vitamin C serum, but don't want to give up my SKINN serum. Could I layer the 2 serums, or would it turn into a goopy mess? If I used 1 serum at night, and the other in the AM, which would you suggest?

I use two serums every morning. I put on NCN's Vitamin C serum and then make my bed. When I am done, the serum has dried into my skin. I then put on NCN's Matrixyl serum. I don't have any trouble using both.

Thanks for your response!

I use Paula's Choice Resist Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum and then put her Resist C15 Super Booster on top. She suggests either mixing them together or layering them like this. I don't let them dry in between since she says you can mix them.

I'm not aware of any rules that say you couldn't layer serums. If it were me, I'd probably do one in the morning and one at night. I've been using Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum for just about a year now and think it's great. I use it every morning. It's got a stable form of Vitamin C called Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (unlike the typical L-Ascorbic Acid which if very unstable). I've never experienced any irritation with it and find it's an excellent value for the money since I buy it on Amazon or Vitacost.

I layer the PC Vitmin C with my other serum all the time. The brand even says you can mix them together and apply that way or you can apply the Vitamin C serum as its own layer.

Thank you to all the ladies who answered my question about layering. It's given me the initiative to throw out the messy Vitamin C powder and just use a serum in combination with my current SKINN regimen.

That's exactly what I do -- well, except that my husband usually makes the bed because he gets up after I do. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

At night, I use the Matrixyl serum again, by itself.

Coincidentally, as I was writing my post about NCN, I received their newsletter with the promo code for July. If anyone is interested, let me know.

I sent an email asking if she was going to introduce a sunscreen (she used to have one, apparently) and she answered me like in A MINUTE saying sorry, no. But gave me the name of the one she uses and likes. Don't understand those who complain that they never hear back from her.

Anyway, next in my inbox, the coupon code, so she must have added me to the email list. :-)

What are you hankering to get?

Are you using Dimitri's C? Nice theory, but what a hassle. And no rhyme or reason why sometimes you get those little orange globs and sometimes not.

I just got some ASDM Vitamin C, but it's more lotion-y -- kind of like the Stem Rejen Face serum (if that's what you use). I'm thinking of getting a more "watery" one -- probably NCN plus the Matrixyl, THEN use my Stem Rejen stuff over it.

And to reiterate, sunscreen is crucial with Vitamin C use.

I think you would like the NCN Vitamin C. It sinks into the skin so quickly.

No, I'm using Philosophy's Turbo Booster C. I just can't deal with the messiness of scooping "just enough" out, having to pour some back in when I've scooped to much, the powder trickling out everywhere when I'm transferring it onto my serum. I mix it together in the palm of my hand, but getting all of it there is sometimes challenging because my hands are shaky.
