I am toying with the idea of Vitamin C powder to mix into my morning serum for an added boost.  However, my daytime moisturizer contains AHA.  Do you think I will be inviting trouble?  I am tempted to try this because people are reporting simply amazing results in the Amazon reviews, and my ugly forehead could use some help.  It's dirt cheap.  Any experience you have combing the two, I would like to hear about.  (The moisuturizer I'm currently using is Philosphy renewed hope in a jar).

For me the VC and AHA is too much acid. Layering these two products back to back might cause irritation. I would use the AHA product at night, w/o any other acids, retinoids or copper products.

I think vitamin c topicals need to be at a certain ph (mildly acidic) to be effective if it’s l-ascorbic acid. not sure if the moisturizer would be the right ph, I’d get some oh testing strips to be sure you’re at a good ph for absorption if you go the powder route.
