[I like celery]

For those of you who have ordered from Vitacost, do you use PayPal when checking out or do you just use Vitacost's checkout? I've read great things about Vitacost, and assume the website is fine, but I feel better asking before ordering. Have all of your transactions using Vitacost's checkout (and not PayPal) been "safe?" No issues, no unauthorized charges, etc?

Same with me. No rhyme or reason why I pick one over the other at the time, but either way, no problems and I've ordered several times.

As matter of fact, I placed an order last week. When it arrived it was missing several items. Obviously the packer didn't read the order/packing list close enough because he/she just gave me one of each thing I ordered, even though some were supposed to be multiples. Anyway, I called CS and the girl wrote up a new order for the replacements and I had them in just a couple of days.

Thanks, gazelle & Katharita. I was thinking it would be fine, but after having gone through some unauthorized charges a couple of years ago after using a website that was "new" to me, it's made me a little cautious.

Thanks to you, too, JLT. I was worried more about unauthorized charges via "hacking" than being worried about not receiving all of my products, but it's good to hear Vitacost resolved your order with the missing items!

I like to use PayPal whenever possible and it seems easier then filling out the information. My credit card account is through Bank of America. On their website I can use the safe shopper option which gives me a temporary one time credit card number. I use the temporary number when I'm ordering from a website I may not be familiar with. I also use it when I am ordering a magazine subscription or any other item that could keep being sent to me on a regular basis. The temporary credit card number is only active for whatever amount of time I want and also only for the amount I put in or less. It is great for those magazine subscriptions which are so thoughtful that they want me to keep receiving the magazine year after year after year and will keep charging my card so I don't need to worry about renewing.

I use regular checkout, not PayPal, and never had any problems.
