Versa Spa - Scary Machine! HAHA

I just did the Versa Spa. In case anyone has been interested I thought I'd post. It's seriously a scary machine...I think so anyway. It talks to you, sprays you with moving nozzles & has a mini heater to keep you toasty. It's different than Mystic Tan because it has a heater & the booth is open on one side so the spray escapes which does help with the breathing factor. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

This is my 2nd time getting it done this week & I must say I'm impressed but not so much so that I'm going to buy a package & continue going. I have an unopened jumbo bottle of BE Faux Tan so I'm going to just use that to maintain my tan this summer. I'm naturally NC20 (MAC) & using the VersaSpa probably makes me a NC30-ish. This time I got the prep & after tan moisturizer which is extra $ but I thought I'd try it just to see if it made a difference in staying power & fading. Only time will tell on that verdict.

I would say it has it's pros & cons just like applying self tanner at home.

Pros:

Ease of just stepping in & doing the poses...the machine does the rest.

It gives a natural, even tan.

It fades more evenly than do-it-yourself tanner. (In my experience)

Loud pop music plays during waiting time & actual tanning. Cool

Cons:

More expensive than do-it-yourself.

I always worry while sitting in my car afterwards that I'm causing streaks so that's always awkward.

Sitting in the waiting area bare faced with loose clothing on doesn't make me feel my best. I know...who cares? But I'm the type of gal who wears makeup to run errands.

The hands & feet get streaky & weird just as badly as do-it-yourself can cause. This is why I tried the booth, thinking that it would give better results on the toughest areas to perfect; hands & feet. Not so much...

Inhaling the spray seems bad...but who knows?
