Shoekitty........I just added an edit to my original post. I paid $900 per syringe in Phoenix. OK........I gotta say, you can FEEL it going in, because it's a lot deeper than the regular Juvederm. It took one syringe for each cheek. My derm put it in right below my cheekbones, not in the apple. I have a very narrow, thin face........and it looks very natural. (Nobody made any "comments" about "having my face fixed".)

I had it done about a month ago and my experience was the same. I am in the LA area and paid the same amount, less 20% since I bought it on a promotion. I am very happy with the results, very natural looking. I am going to check into Sculptura, as I am told it will last up to two years.

Yikes. The teeth! My eyes, my eyes. LOL! I do know she wears a lot of caps. She has a cap to go over the gap in her teeth, and one that had a diamon (or like diamond).

I was wondering about her hands. How can you tell it might be the beginning of RA? I am curious. The veins oh my.! I thought she had been working out to much. I have to say, I don't know when I have seen anyone so lean and buffed at her age. She is literally ribbons of muscle. I had heard she follows a macrobiotic diet. She is just muscle.

Thanks desertdi for the info! I was thinking they had to go deep. Ouchie. Did you cry? What is the down time? Was their bruising? When I get Restylane there is some swelling and sometimes a little bruise

How does this differ from Sculptra? Isn't the Voluma supposed to last 2 years? (ANYTHING that lasts 2 years would be a great deal, IMO.)

Hiya Shoekitty...........naw, I didn't cry. The "sting" lasted only about 10 seconds. I didn't bruise, but there was a little swelling for about 4 days. Noticeable in my 12 power mirror, but nothing major. I get Botox between my eyebrows, and the corners of my mouth filled with Juvederm, and I HAVE had tiny bruises from that.........so I would consider the Voluma a "piece of cake". I am hoping for the application to last 2 years........that area of your face doesn't move as much as the naso-labial and marionette areas.....

Shoekitty: It was just an observation. Believe me, I am not a doctor, but it just looked like her fingers were a bit claw like - you know, bent. Could have just been the picture, too. I regretted after writing it because I wasn't trying to bash or start a rumor!{#emotions_dlg.sad}

Desertdi - I read about this recently and have been very interested. What do you feel is the greatest benefit from having it - filling in the cheeks, getting rid of fine lines (or not so fine) lifting the face or maybe a bit of all of them? I have some lax skin on my left cheek (according to a picture lyn posted from Dr Setterfield's book) which I believe is a result of both some bone loss causing the skin to collapse some plus left side sun exposure from years of driving in very sunny climates. I was thinking that maybe this could help with that - lax skin has kind of a crinkled look to the skin and it just drives me crazy as my right cheek looks just fine - no lines, no crinkles, pretty much holding it's own quite well.

Would love to hear your thoughts. I'm just south of you in Tucson and am sure some here are using it. Thanks much for your review about it.

I'm very interested in getting the Voluma. In fact, my doctor just did some IPL for me about 2 wks ago, and we consulted on Voluma. After a little more healing time from the IPL, I will probably go for it. She quoted me 2 syringes for $1300, which is looking like a very good price. I think she would be giving me a discount since I have been a patient off and on for several years. I'll report back if (when) I decide to have it done.
