Re: VOLOOM....yikes!

[ Edited ]

Thank you for taking the time to supply that info, @scottygal.  Sounds easy enough! Just looking for a little boost in a couple of areas on top. I'm amazed that your "lift" stays a couple of days...looking forward to receiving it soon. It gets great reviews on HSN as well as several reviews here. I am confident I should be happy with this item and it won't have to be stored in the back of my cabinet with a few other beauty tools that have been forgotten about!

Glad to enable....ahem, I mean help. I say play with it, but really, if you know how to use a curling iron, it will be a peice of cake. It really is that easy.

Yes, when I don't wash my hair there is still some volume for about 2 days. If you're going out or whatever, you can always add a touch of volume to day old hair. I love this thing so much, I own 2. ( one for my vaca house so I never forget it- just keep my eyes on my guests...LOL)

Hello, StlrFan. Smiley Happy

I think the reason the vendor gives the models such big hairstyles is to show what the heat tool is capable of.

This is fairly off topic, but when I was watching Nick Chavez on QVC Germany, they call his Volumizing Hairspray products Volumen Haarspray (pronounced Vo-LOOM-men HAR-spray). The word volumen sounds similar to the word Voloom. Just thought that was interesting.

~Nick Chavez is my favorite vendor on QVC and Alberti Popaj is my favorite QVC host.~
Nick Chavez now has his own sub-forum under the My Favorite Brand folder

Yes, I style my hair first as I normally would. When finished I lift the top area and secure it in a clip. I voloom a small area near the scalp. Release the clip so the straight hair falls over it and repeat on the opposite side. I can run my fingers thru it. I do a subtle lift, and the crimp is not noticable, even in wind. It lasts for a few days. (my best friend just saw Voloom and started to tell me about it. Told her I'd been using it for months. She never knew...just noticed good hair days) HTH

Thank you so much for all the info, @scottygal!  I couldn't resist the price and ordered it yesterday!!

I have had the Voloom for about a week and it is amazing.  I have medium length hair and FIGHT for volume.  I ordered it when it was on sale for $59.  I was certain I would be sending this thing back.  NOPE.  It gives my hair the most beatiful, natural looking volume.  I no longer have to add volumizing powders, mousses etc and I have not used hair spray since it arrived.  I can now wash my hair every other day.  My hair is soft, shiny, bouncy and full of volume.  PS I watched several youtube blogger reviews and tutorials before purchasing.  The presentation was so horrible, but the youtube videos were great.
