Years ago, I used this all the time. Was one of the best for soft shiny hair. Worked great on my color-treated hair.

When I couldn't find it in my area, I just forgot about it. Today, at our local grocery store, I found it in a red and white box. New Look. I'm going to try it tonight and see if it is as good as long ago.

Has anyone bought this lately? Thanks

they still have this at the Walgreens here in the original packaging; wonder when they changed the packaging and how old the one I saw is...

I'm going to call the company to see if anything has changed or they just changed the package. With so many new products, maybe their sales were down.

Wow, this is a blast from the past. I used to use this years ago (more like decades ago, yikes). On the VO5 website it says the original hot oil treatment and new look, which leads one to think the formula is the same as the original. But after reading the ingredients, I'm not sure. If you contact the company, please let us know what they say.

No, but I did use it a couple of years ago and it worked just the same as when it first came out. Hope you have success.

Haven't used recently but also loved it in the past. Was the easiest way to get my hair back to healthy condition for just a few bucks. I preferred the prior to shampoo application since my hair is so fine. Never made it oily - just got rid of any dryness and made it shine. I remember when Walgreen's stopped carrying it - am glad it's available again.

I remember when this came in three different "formulas". One box had a purple label and I think it was for "strengthening", the others were red and I forget the other, blue maybe, but they were different "formulas". One might have been for split ends. I don't remember. I think they were really all the same though! I mean, how different can oil be? LOL!

Last time I used it was about 3 years ago and I thought I burned my scalp with the hot oil and totally panicked!

Does anyone else remember the different colored boxes?

I find that it dries my hair out. Used to love it.

Now I LOVE the OJON oil---the one with the three different color oils that are layered int he bottle. I am not even a fan of OJON, but I tried this and WOW. I apply it once every two weeks or so to my hair around 8 in the evening---and shampoo it out around 10 or 11.. It makes such a difference. LOVE it.

I seen the new versions in the reuseable bottle. Its funny how the good stuff eventually get discontinued and replaced with ccrap. remember the old vidal sassoon in the brown bottles back in the 70s/80s

How I loved LOVED the Vidal stuff in the brown packet. Smelled heavenly and left hair like silk. Gone, gone. {#emotions_dlg.crying}
