Using epilator on the bikini area, I'm scared.

I love my emjoi eRase and it doesn't hurt at all when I use it on my legs and even my underarms no longer bother me. But I'm afraid to use on the bikini area. Does anyone use an epilator for the bikini area? I've been using the shaving head that came with the eRase and at least I don't have to worry about nicks like with a regular razor but I'd love to get the nerve up to epilate instead.

So tell me you all use it for that and it's not a big deal LOL.

I was TERRIFIED. Resisted for a long long time.

I found that it hurt me less than waxing, which was me screaming every expletive known on the planet! AND I didn't get black and blue or get ingrown hair!

I did that for awhile then got it lasered, no more issues.

Take a deep breath. You will get used to it and love it. No more bruising and nicks.Smiley Very Happy

Remember the old Epilady with the coil-springee-thingee...yeppers, I did it that way for years until lasers came alongSmiley Very Happy

You can also use a numbing cream like Lidocaine or better cream Topicaine 5% (I use pre-dermarolling). Just be sure to wipe it away before you epilate.

@Mz iMac You are not alone.I use the Nair version of this.  It comes in an applicator that looks like deodorant.

No I don't like those chemical hair removers. I don't want that stuff in that area, I can't stand the smell plus you have to sit around waiting for it to work.

I have the larger one and my 20 year old daughter came over yesterday to try it...She is TERRIFIED TO USE IT!  I have always had baby fine hardly any hair..Now my daughter has the course hair..So it took her a good 5 minutes just to do her leg.(a tiny section by her ankle!)..she whinned that it hurt..Than she showed me her armpits and I said "girl that hair needs to go asap".  So again she couldn't do it.. So i like mine..BUT i think if you have that course hair it would hurt ...???
