Used a product for several years and then it doesn't work for you?

Whew! long title.

I've used many products for years and years and years and never changed brands -- now that I'm older my skin chemistry is changing (I assume that's the problem) and some of my long-time products don't work any more. Ya know?

For instance, I used and loved Cover Girl's AquaSmooth compact makeup for 30+ years. I could not even imagine using another foundation ever. Then, all of a sudden, it doesn't look good on me anymore - my skin doesn't like it any more - it's too thick and is all wrong - eek! So I've been experimenting with other foundations.

Same with my 'signature' scent -- after wearing Oscar de la Renta for 3 decades, it doesn't smell the same on me. If I wear it now, it stinks and I have to wash it off. The fragrance almost makes me sick. What's up with that??!!??

Anyone else have that problem -- have you fallen out of love with a product you've used for years?
