Just read in Women's Wear Daily, that Unilever purchased Tatcha for over $500 million.

WOW, hope it's worth it. I have tried that line and have not bought anything twice.

Funny, me either. In fact, I switched to Elemis.

Curses!!!!  I love TATCHA, and it has corrected age-related issues that no other skincare line has.  I hope we don't see the dumbing down of TATCHA that we so often see when other smaller but great lines have been bought out.

@Barbara in Virginia : I congratulate the woman who developed and owns Tatcha.

You and I need to stock up NOW on the Real Thing before Unilever starts producing their version of it's products.

I had the same thought about stocking up.  A problem that comes to mind is that TATCHA doesn't hav a long shelf life.  Most products have the 6 month symbol on the bottom of jars.  I don't know if that is when once opened or is total once you get the new product.

Uh-Oh!  Goodbye Tatcha as we know it.  Happens every time.

Re: Unilever purchases Tatcha

The real KILLER of wonderful lines is Estee Lauder.  OMG... everything they touch gets ruined.  With Unilever being the new owner,  I'm thinking that Tatcha will have the same fate.  The only large company that I somewhat trust when they purchase a line is Shiseido.

I bought 4 of the rice powders about 6 months ago, when I heard the formula was being changed.

@nyc1 : let's not forget how Coty ruined Philosophy fragrances!
