I have a couple of questions I hope someone can help me with. I have about $147 I accrued to spend on merchandise. I need to spend $417 by the end of the year if I want to keep my platinum status. If I use the $147 does that get applied to my account towards my platinum status? Also does spending the $147 earn me points?

Re: Ulta Beauty Reward Program

@Jordan2 - Good questions.  I have called ULTA customer service for other things and they are extremely helpful and nice.  I'd call them to be sure.

Re: Ulta Beauty Reward Program

@Jordan2  - I just went to ULTA's website and read the Terms and Conditions on the Rewards program and the Frequently Asked Questions and I couldn't get a clear answer to your questions.  Went and looked at my Rewards account and I am 75% there to keep my status but am to afraid to use any of my accrued money in case that would take away some of the points I've earned.

I might just concider the 147 reward money a free gift.  Over and above anything you might buy. I wouldn't think you would be deducted points for using it, but you certainly wouldn't earn any reward points on it.   I know with nordies reward program, if I return something those reward points  are deducted from my acct.  but when I spend my reward notes I don't earn points, unless my purchase is more than my reward note.   Spending my motes does not deduct point either.  That would seem unfair, but not earning points on a reward is expected. I still earn Ambassador status every year

Thank you @shoekitty  - your explanation makes sense to me.  I usually use my ULTA points towards the end of the year when I want to buy some of the holiday kits for DD and myself.

Re: Ulta Beauty Reward Program

I didn't realize they were still doing the levels.  I really don't keep up with it or try to reach Platinum.  I just looked at my account and I'd have to spend $500 to get to Platinum.  I only make a point of using any accumulated points that will expire at the end of the year.  I accidentally spent all my points early in the year.  I meant to only spend some of them, but the girl creditied all of them, so I had to start earning again.  They were very busy at the time, so I didn't want to hold anything up.

Re: Ulta Beauty Reward Program

I finally got around to calling Ulta Beauty's CS to ask a question about using your reward points. If you have $100 in rewards and spend $150, you only get rewards on the $50 as in points earned and applied to what you need to keep your current status.

@Jordan2  - Thank you for calling and clarifying this.  Will remember to be careful how I spend my points.
