ULTA Black Friday order cancelled

Feeling quite upset right now - I carefully planned out my Ulta order of the Black Friday sales. I placed my order at about 9:30 last night and got an order confirmation. I just logged onto my emails and see that my order was cancelled - due to one or more items being sold out. Then why don't they just cancel the sold out ones.?? they say they have no backorder system or something like that... Anybody else experience this?? I feel there should be some resource like a rind heck or something. IF I had known that, I could have made other purchases as I was out shopping today. disappointed that gift I thought were taken care of are not nod missing out on some great deals....

I placed my order around 6:45 last night and just checked and my order is in processing. I agree that they should have only cancelled your out of stock items and not the whole order. I would be very upset too if this had happened to me.

I've been annoyed with Ulta online ordering in the past. Every time I'm eligible for a free item, I get my order and the free item isn't in the box. Either it's out of stock or they forget to put it in there. Not a huge deal but just annoying.

I don't blame you for being irritated by your order cancellation. You can email their customer service. Maybe they'll send you some coupons to ease your frustration.

I would be pretty ticked off as well. If I were you I would put a call in on Monday morning. They have to have corporate office, customer service contacts etc.

I just received another computer generated email from Ulta saying that they were giving me a $20 e coupon for a future order. That helps, but still feel annoyed - would prefer my order to be backordered, but I'll get over it!

At least they are comping you for the aggravation but still I would be annoyed too, that is a strange set up they have.

I placed my Ulta order this morning- I really like their makeup bags filled with Ulta goodies and they were offering that with a $50 purchase. I bought Devacurl haircare items, usually they're excluded from coupons and promos but the order went through okay. And it's still processing! This is my first ulta.com purchase; the cs at my local store has been better - with renewed faith in Ulta I decided to try .com.

I placed three orders. One of the items was out of stock on one of my orders. They sent me an email saying one item was out of stock and still sent the other two items and didn't charge me shipping or tax. Just charged an even 20.00 for my two 10.00 items. I was worried about the other orders, but they were okay.

Must admit I was a little surprised and upset. But I was glad that they sent most of the order and still gave me free shipping.
