Two broken eyeliners

In the free S & H offer, I ordered 2 eyeliners. One was Mally, the other Urban Decay.

I received them in separate packages yesterday. I went to look and try the colors out. With BOTH of them, the same thing happened. As I pulled the caps off, BOTH of them broke off. The whole top of the pencil part broke off. What are the odds of that?

I just pulled the caps up, and as the cap came off, so did the whole top of the pencil. I liked both colors, and now I have to go through the hassle of packaging them up and returning them. One of the packages, also packed in a UPS mailer, was so taped around I had to destroy the packaging to get inside it. I will not be able to use it for the return.

I cannot explain this! Probably better to protect the whole pencil and have it be screwed up to use.

Well, I see I am not the only one. I had to return 2 Mally Eye Shadow Stick kits last month. Both had the same issue as you. I don't know what the deal is, but I did not re-order.

Not makeup, but I received Diamonique Sterling Twisted Dangle Earrings today and only one earring had the dangling diamonique stone. J354726 I even checked all the packaging for the loose stone. They were "as is", but come on, throw this used trash out, don't try to sell it.

@hyacinth003 I’d send them back in one pkg. Were the pencils sealed with cellophane, etc.? If not, they may have been used, turned up too far, cap stuck to pencil and broke when removed. I’ve been buying cosmetics at B&M stores because I’ve rec’d damaged items too often.
