When you FIRST open a new container of this product, what is it supposed to look like? The one I received had leaked (though sealed) so it a little slimy but when I opened it up, it looked like sand at the beach between the dry stuff and the super wet stuff. Not dried out but like you could mold it into a castle or something. I'm wondering if it should look more like a body scrub (oilier).

Sometimes the seal opens when you twist the top.  It's suppose to be thick and grainy as it is a clay.  Did you try mixing it up?

@FiddleDeeDee - sounds like your description of the scalp scrub is exactly what it should be - an earthy gritty wet sand - once you put it on your head and add water, it will foam up a bit. You don't need a lot per application.

I do a double cleanse with it and then I apply conditioner to the mid shaft to ends (I have long hair) Also, if you have the replenishing mist, keep it in the shower and use it as a leave in conditioner - don't forget to shake the mist each time before using it

@rms1954  @Chi-town girl   Thank you both for your responses!  Since it had leaked (no clue how because everything was intact), I wasn't sure if it should be "wetter" or not. Since it appears to be in perfect condition, I'll use it tomorrow.

As previously stated, you only need a small amount. Once you start adding water, you'll be amazed how it foams and spreads throughout your scalp and hair.  I hope you like it.

I love mine! The 1st time I used way too much, and you do only need a little, but it is really nice!

I do love the scrub--not a fan of the shampoos tho--but the scrub rocks--even used it for a facial scrub once or twice--not bad.
