Tweak'd Bigwig STYLER - What Are Your Thoughts

It's currently a Weekly Deal Drop over on HSN.  I know it launched in July and some people here said they were going to try it.  So, what it the verdict?

@Sugipine Thanks, no I did not.  There were no reivews on the HSN product page.  That game where they change the product number and the reviews disappear?

Just ANOTHER styling product that we really do not need.  If the others were so great why a new one?

I was blessed with great, thick hair with a lot of body. A styling tool cant give you that. Temporarily, you'll get some fullness but won't last long.

@Icegoddess I still have cans of the 2XL and also bought the  Cleanditioner 3XL 3 in 1.  I like both of those and I didn't need to try the Bigwig Styler.  I use the 3XL more as a refresher and brush out the fibers when I don't care about the volume.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

I'm a big Tweak'd fan but this is one product I don't like.  I have tried various methods and I always end up with roots that feel sticky, like there's a film on it, and my scalp gets itchy. I just gave it another try the other day and nothings changed. It's going to be on my Used Up/Pitched list this week.

@Icegoddess  - Are you looking for a root lifter?  I'm thinking about trying this one.  There's a mini version at Sephora for 12.00.

@San Antonio Gal Yes, but.....the problem is I can get volume when I style, but it doesn't last, and then my hairstyle begins to take on a Gene Simmons vibe.  I do have that Color Wow mini and like it as well or maybe even better than the Moremo one I've been using, but I think has been discontinued.  I'll probably buy the larger one when I run out.  I'm currently only using it on Sundays and the Moremo one the rest of the week until I use it up.

I have found something that seems to work for me, but it's a process along with a Taya product which actually seems to hold the style.  Of course, I bought it at a deep discount too, so I'm hoping that's not another discontinued product since it's the only thing I've found that actually holds the volume and it doesn't leave the inside of my hair feeling tangly/stuck together.  That's my issue with Tweak'd 2XL spray.

I was intrigued by the ability to put the Tweak'd product just where I wanted it and using my fingers.

Re: Tweak'd Bigwig STYLER - What Are Your Thoughts

I just wanted to revisit this since I had already ordered it before I started the thread.

I guess I'm a contrarian, but I really like this product.  I don't use it in with hair ever even though that is mentioned.  I also don't use it on first day hair since I already have methods for getting the volume I want.

However, what I do is use it on 2nd day hair.  Usually I have to spritz down my 2nd day hair with water and  Ouidad spray designed for refreshing hair.  I then let it air dry.  After it is dry is when I use this product to get a little volume back.  I don't get the exaggerated volume in the presentation, but just enough to make me happy.

I only use a tiny amount and you have to shake it first.  The hardest part is in knowing whether it's coming out or not.  If you put the tip flat to the scalp, it keeps the product from coming out.  That would be my only con.  Maybe I should put it in the fridge so I can feel it.  After 5 or 6 "dots" I turn my head over and basically give myself a scalp massage.  Then I flip my head back over and spritz with a little hairspray.  It doesn't feel sticky or anything.  The 2XL does make my hair feel sticky.  I can run my fingers through it but can't if I've used the 2XL.
