Re: Tweak'd BIGwig VOLUmaker RootBoost-Rx Styler

I really wish QVC would post ingredients for the TSV, rescue creams and new root serum. I’d like to know what I’m buying…

I decided to try this in the lavender and when I checked my order status it said Advance Order.  Was that mentioned?

I saw shipping on 7/9.

Interesting.  I ordered this morning and my order says Advanced Order too.

Yet I just checked online and for what I ordered, it says shipping 7/9.

Is this another one of those - if you order early, your order is put on hold, in order to fulfil later orders?

I would try it if I hadn't already tried a half-dozen other supposedly remarkable shampoos and conditions that claim to amp up volume, and didn't! It's a hassle to return it and be charged a return fee if we don't like it. So I'll pass. Notice that the models they use have dense, heavy hair. Do they ever show a model with very thin, fine hair? Hmmmmmm.......

@Effie54  - Yes, Jane Treacy claimed that only the shampoo and conditioner left her hair almost standing straight up.  She didn't say those words, but pointed to her hair and her hair was pretty much standing straight up. She has very fine hair and not much of it, but when she touched her hair it barely moved, so unless she's got TONS of product in her hair to make it stand straight up (almost) that shampoo and conditioner will leave your hair looking like you've got tons of product in it. Somehow that's not a good marketing technique for a cleanser and conditioner. It would be better of Jane didn't use herself as an example because it's far too obvoious that she's not telling the truth about how she got her hair like that.

I wish ingredients were posted as well.

Since it is "clean beauty," are we to assume all ingredients will not destroy the color in your hair?  I have highlights and lowlights and don't want to lose them.

I only use Pureology but would like to give this TSV a try.

Always loved the Ojan products before Denis sold the company.  Like Tweak'd but preferred original Ojan...worked beautifully for my fine, naturally wavy hair.  Ordered the TSV...as far as Denis' appearance, he looks unattractive and ridiculus with his man-bun and silly costumes!

@Austin Rose Oh my, I just saw them. I originally read your post earlier and really didn't think much of it. I just started watching his presentation and immediately thought back to your post and had to respond.

I'm pretty open to apparel and style, and usually don't care much what people wear. But......... what exactly are those pants? It looks like he put them on backwards, inside out, turned around and added some type of belt and looped it around and around. I'm not even sure how he got these on.

It's like crocodile hunter meets haute couture, and it's not flattering at all (to me). The "ingredient hunter" look doesn't interest me. I'd rather see him in a normal pants and shirt. Tucking the pants in the boots cuts him off making him look stumpy. I just don't care for the haute couture, especially on men.

Edited for typo

Saw him this morning and first thought was Crocodile Dundee  in that gear, bet his fiancee Amanda wouldn't be seen in Canada with him wearing that outfit, but ok for us Americans, guess he wants us to remember he is a "world traveler," climbing  up the Himalayan  mountains, and years ago when he was selling Ojon he was in the jungle of the  Amazon.

Did fall for his products years ago but hair didn't grow like his ex wife hair when she appeared with him and no way will my hair look like Amanda's either.

@Mersha  - He says over and over again in the presentations that it's safe for color treated hair, but I agree with you; I'd love to see the ingredients.

@KarenaJeannette   I think I will give it a try.

Pureology is so expensive and the TSV is a good value.

@Mersha  Yes, it's a great value!!! For what it's worth, I tried his shampoo and conditioner for the first time last month, and I am thrilled with it. Since 2007, I have been using WEN and over the last few years, incorporated Tweak'd but only the nonlathering formulas. I hope you try it and LOVE IT! Heart

@Effie54 I thought he said the model with the white hair had fine hair, probably a lot of it, but fine.  Makes me think of my hairdresser when I bring a picture in of something I like.  Invariably she'll say "She's got more hair than you do."  Translation, that cut won't be the same on you.

I'm going to wait and see what others think about it.
