For over a year did not wear foundation and when I started smelling my old foundations they seemed rancid. So I decided to start over and find a foundation that would not settle in lines, pores and wrinkles or separate when the oils starts in my t zone or look heavy and cakey.....Not doing so good. The IT bye bye moisturizer foundation found every wrinkle and announced them to the world. I looked older and cakey and unnatural. I bought the sephora perfect skin tint that is new and the color was so dark and orange. It gets good ratings but I think ordering on line is a game of luck. The color I ordered was supposed to be light medium with yellow in my skin. Not even close. I liked the Josie Maran matchmaker foundation but it goes bad fast it seems. I ordered the two bottles for a special price on the Q right before the pandemic and it went rancid. This is hard finding something that does not make me look worse. I know it is not just me because I go up close to the TV and the high definition shows the people on there with lines prominent in even the younger people.

@chiclet for me, it's texture that's emphasized whenever I use a liquid foundation. I switched to Laua Geller Balance and Brighten and it looks beautiful without emphasizing any flaws on my skin. I have dry skin and it doesn't look powdery at all but I make sure I moisturize well before applying it.

Maybe you really don't need all-over foundation; maybe just concealor...?
Don't you find that your skin is happier/looks better without? I think that's the case with some on here that I have read.
Maybe just a finishing powder? I'm still partial to Bye Bye Pores, but I also like Ready To Wear. (Haven't tried any LG, but some on here really like hers.)

Bare Minerals doesn't settle into fine line's, and gives you a natural looking coverage that never looks cakey.

I love Laura Geller Balance and Brighten, especially in the summertime. (I have dry skin.) But I still need a concealer for places needing more coverage like under my eyes. But the B&B seem to anchor the concealer.
Balance & Brighten also seems to have more coverage than Bare Minerals that I used for years.

I have the same concerns about wearing foundation. I am 72 years old and have good results with A-266582 Perricone MD High Potency Classics Face Moisturizer, which has spf and self-forming tint. It also contains good skin care ingredients. Good luck finding a foundation that works for you, and have a grateful day.

I have a few foundations. IT CC+ Cream (applied with a light hand) looks very nice. Rare Beauty is good if you hydrate and prime. EL Double Wear was beautiful for several years but either I changed or the formula changed. My favorite is Lancome Tient Idole. You might find this interesting...

Forgot about The Ordinary Skin Tint. I really like it too but I get shiny if I get too hot. I have to think about where I'm going and what I'm doing to know which foundation to wear but Lancome is tops out of my collection.
