Trish McEvoy Instant Eye Lift - dupe!

[ Edited ]

I've been using Trish's Instant Eye Lift on and off for a couple of years.  While I love the idea of using it for the "triangle of light", this product (on me) is quite drying and I find it a little too pink for my yellow skin tone.   I've used other products - hybrid concealer/highlightiers such as  Touche Eclat and Dior skinflash - as well as regular concealers and all work okay but nothing has been outstanding.  I do have dark circles though so there's a lot of work needed to cover those up!

Anyway following some reviews online I picked up a tube of Costal Scents Bright Eyed in the color light.  This sells around $10 for a  0.7 oz tube.  It's very similar in consistency and color to Trish's eye lift but maybe slightly more peach toned.   That said it doesn't look peach when you apply it.  In fact I have the peach and pink Georgio Armarni Master Correctors and the Costal Scents is an identical match to their pink version..   I'd say it's a perfect mix of pink and peach.

On me (and I'm in my 50's) it's not drying and adds a perfect amount of brightness to the under eye area.  For the price it's a brilliant buy.  I can see the tube lasting a year.

I am usually a medium in foundation. I wonder if I would want the light or medium shade in this? Medium looks a bit dark for under my eyes.

Re: Trish McEvoy Instant Eye Lift - dupe!

Thank you for posting this, I've been looking for a dupe for this product and could never find anything that comes close.

Checked your amazon.com link and was able to find another link to get the lighter shade, Ivory, which was only $7.99 and free shipping with Prime.

Thanks again, I can't wait to get this and try it.  And I only have to wait until Sunday, which is the expected delivery date!

I'm usually light to medium in foundations...  but leaning more to medium and the light in the costal scents works great.  It's more of a brightener (like Trish's product) and also if you see a swatch of the medium it's really, really dark.  More like a tan colored concealer.

Great!   I've only tried the light and that was almost identical to Trish's but if you're very pale the ivory would obviously work better.  And what a brilliant price too!.  Smiley Happy

Great tip will check it out! I have severe under eye darkness and need correctors, brighteners, concealers, the whole shebang.

Elsiekitten, Dpo you have to use anything in addition to the bright eyed?

Sometimes I can get by with just the Bright Eyed on first and then whatever else I'm using (foundation or bb cream etc) - and maybe  a touch more Bright Eyed on the top if needed.  Then there are days like today when I'll use a concealer underneath everything and then I'll add the Bright Eyed as a highlighter.   I do find though after years of using pretty much every concealer, primer, corrector and brightening powder out there sometimes less is more,  If my circles are really bad no amount of product is going to cover them and I end up looking worse if I add layer after layer after layer.

I do find I reach for this tube more and more and I think it's as good as many of the other products I have in my dark circle arsenal - but at a fraction of the cost.

Re: Trish McEvoy Instant Eye Lift - dupe!

thank you for the recommendation! I recall a thread a while back that had dupes for the Trish McEvoy but I could not recall what they were. I do know that it wasn't coastal scents so I appreciate it. is that line only available online?
