Re: Tried New Serums And Broke Out

I purchased their last (I think?) today's special from HSN which included a firming cream and matching eye cream. I kept it too long before opening (we were away for two weeks) and can't return but honesty, the perfume fragrance in both is SO strong I know this will be the last time I will every purchase skin care from this company. It knocks me over every time I open the jars. Not necessary at all and is an irritant.

Since you have super sensitive skin, I would stay away from Lancôme completely. They have a TON of perfume in their products and I do not find any of them to be of great quality. That is just my opinion though. Check out Paula's Choice...she has a lot of good options that do not contain irritants. My best advice would be to inform yourself on INGREDIENTS. It takes a lot of research and trial and error to what YOUR skin responds well to, and does not. But it is what you need to do. Other people cannot tell you what to use. One will rec something that they love and it will wreak havoc on YOUR skin. You just have to figure out what works for you. Just learn ingredients and avoid known irritants to start.

Re: Tried New Serums And Broke Out

Thank you all for responding to my concern. I do suspect it was the Genefique that broke me out (still dealing with those whiteheads) as the samples of the Vissionaire seemed to be OK with my skin, unless it just took some time of using this product for the breakouts to occur. And some of you mentioned the heavy fragrance in Lancome products, and I do agree. I have been using for some time now the Teint Idole long lasting foundation which has been wonderful and does not clog my pores.

ChynnaBlue, I was wondering about Dr. Denese's Hydroshield. Will go read all the reviews again on this one. Maybe when my skin settles down?
