Re: Tria - Week 7 (weird stuff!)

Good news. I said in my last post that I would stop for a few weeks. Well, after four days, my skin looked so good that I realized I need to continue this. It is amazing. The redness went away and even the roughness went away. My skin looks so plump (this could still be some swelling?) and the two brown spots at the top of each cheek are much smaller and very light now. So I am back at it. This is week #8 for me.

Wonderful! As Tennessee Vol and I have discussed, our redness/rough skin seemed to return after abating for awhile, so it doesn't seem all that unusual for that to occur. I just can't believe that I've got just one more week to go -- I'm EXTRA interested to see what, if anything, occurs with my new color swatched skin. :-)

Hang in there!

Maren, are you doing an extra week?? Isn't this your 8th week now? It is for me and I thought I would be done by Sunday. I still don't know if I will do the extra week or not because of my Tria being replaced. But I have the redness and dryness around my smile lines and I need a good exfoliation.

The only one of your issues that I experienced was the tan coloring. I have no regrets about my first round and am looking forward to continued improvement with the second round. Although, I'm going to be on vacation out of state this weekend so I will have to postpone treatment for 4 nights. Wishing you fewer concerns as time goes on!!

You're right -- my last week, don't know what I was thinking. :-) I'm going to to an extra day since I skipped a day at the beginning when I was sick, and was toying with the idea of just ending on the 31st just so I could easily remember my end date. I may be too impatient to wait until then, though, so we'll see.

From what people are saying (those who are doing the 5/2/12 and those who have stopped for a few days like gtx, it seems as though when we stop even before the end of the entire protocol our skin starts responding right away. So that's a tough one, snowball, if you want to do an extra week or not. See how you feel at the end of this week and you'll know what to do. :-)

I think this time has FLOWN! Although I haven't tired of doing the nightly treatments, I'm becoming more curious to see what transpires once I stop (especially now with my bizarro symptoms :-). I don't think I could hang on for the 12 weeks, so happy I chose the 8/4.

Don't forget, you started on L3 like about 2 minutes after we began, so maybe you got a few weeks of full impact before it petered out -- or do you think it was weak from the beginning?

I always think of you -- and will remind myself of you -- when I wonder if I should carry on with a second round. I'm looking forward to hearing how it differs this time around, if at all. Have a great vacation! Wear sunscreen!! :-)

Maren, I did start on Level 3 the second day and it was hot. But I really don't think it was as hot as my replacement is now. That is why I think I will add the extra week. I really don't want to. And also with this new one, I am showing more redness around the smile lines and that didn't happen before.

Well at least this time you KNOW something is happening, right? If I decide to extend it until the 31st, I'll be there with you, and Tennessee Vol is a week behind, too. You won't be alone! :-)

Maren, I think I may go another week. I just used it now and it is hot. My face is red and my last one wasn't that hot. I am thinking maybe I have to add more than one week! What would you do??

I think I'd go the extra week, then decide whether or not to continue or rest. You have to have been getting SOMETHING, don't you think? I've read reports of people who did the entire protocol never having been able to tolerate L3, and they saw improvement during the time off. You don't want to OVERdo it, but at least the week makes sense. Just go with your instinct after you do the extra week -- I really think you'll get a sense of where to go from there. Trying to pre-plan never works out. :-)
