Question for those treating neck, hands, etc.:

Do you do your entire face 10 minute treatment then turn on the device and begin a second session on the additional areas, or do you spend less time on your face and incorporate the other areas into the 10 minutes allotted?

TIA!

Yes, I do 10 minutes on my face, wait till it turns off and then split the next 10 between neck and chest. I was doing my hands and arms, but stopped, because honestly I will be in the sun and know I won't protect them enough. Will start on them in the fall.

I do my whole face then neck.

Thanks, MidNight. I was thinking that I might actually just incorporate my nose/mouth into my cheek time because for the life of me I can't seem to help myself from overdoing the center zone area. That's the area that becomes the most red and the only area where I'm sandpapery. So I may do my entire face in 3 zone time, then use the 4th 2.5 minutes on my neck and hands. We'll see.

Happy to hear you're feeling better, too. I swear by Cold-Eze which is zinc (kind of quasi-holistic) and another holistic product called Sambucol which uses Black Elderberry. They really work for me!

I was wondering if laser helps LIFT and maybe helps jowls. Apparently there is some "laser facelift" that works in the same manner as the Tria (but of course WAY stronger). The Before and Afters are pretty impressive so I do want to at least incorporate my neck into the routine. I bought a high zinc sunscreen for use as a hand cream, but keep forgetting to use it. I think you're wise to wait until after summer to work on your arms and hands. :-)

If you all don't mind indulging me for a moment. I have had mine since they first delivered but am scared of the treatment for various reasons. I have a lot of important events in the next few weeks and I also run outside for at least an hour a day.

Do any of you beauties following the protocol have a lot of sun exposure in your daily lives? Obviously I slather the sunscreen, then sunscreen powder and most of the time wear a hat, but I am worried about exacerbating the damage of the actual exposure on my tender skin. I used it once on level 1, but did two treatments right in a row. I am not at all scared of the pain. My mother taught me to believe, "you have to suffer to be beautiful!"

Also, I initially read some posts that stated the ladies skin looked awful, dark spots got darker, the eye festoons, etc. Do you all feel pretty confident that it's more temporary than not?

My husband thinks I should just keep it, pay it off and hold out for a quieter time after summer when I could really go all in! But I also remember Lyn mentioning you can't store it in the box without charging it weekly. I don't want to waste all of the (400?) charges, while not using it.

I thoroughly appreciate reading all of your triumphs and tribulations of using the device and ANY input whatsoever, would be highly appreciated. I certainly am proud of all you Tria Warriors and can't wait to "see" how great you look! Thanks, Jill

Hi Jill, and welcome! A lot will depend on your skin type, but I can answer from my experience. I am blonde with light skin, and I tend toward very dry skin with adult acne. I flush very easily (turn red). So, my main side effect has been redness and dryness, kind of like a sunburn, but it's usually gone by the AM and it hasn't been anything I couldn't easily cover with makeup. Using ice helps tremendously. As far as sun exposure, I'll be honest - I like the sun, I'm out in it for a few hours every day with my dog and such, and I do get tan on purpose. The exception is my face, neck and chest, which I am getting much better about using sunscreen on. So personally, I would think you would have no problems using the Tria now as long as you are protecting that skin. Hope that helps.

Maren, you're psychic. Smiley Wink I'm specifically concentrating on my jowls and the little turkey pouch under my chin. I was using the Palovia there, but put that on hold while I do the Tria. I have read reviews that said ladies were getting results with the Palovia and Tria there, so I have high hopes, and nothing but time.

I am doing 1 full cycle on 1/2 my neck then another on the other 1/2.Started doing my chest then quit so unit would last longer..I might change my mind in 3 months.

Those 2 items you use for colds are what i would use to but my DD could not find sugar free in cold eze..I dont eat sugar..I do have the Sambucca syrup but did not use because the sugar content. Those 2 products are awesome aren't they!?.I did use Zicam spray and a whole food supplement called Congaplex..You take one every hr till you are better..They seem to work.

Tonight my face was burning longer than it did before i did the Cure Gel..When i started using it i had stopped the laser.I think my face is more sensitive now because i got off much dead skin....I would not advise anyone to use the Gel as much as i did especially if you are using the laser.

Yeah, you may have gotten a little too enthusiastic. :-) I wouldn't have the patience to go at it that many times anyway! I'm still awaiting my samples from Japan and I'm getting antsy!

So again, I just have to question whether it's "just the product balling up" as some have suggested -- that's not going to make your skin more sensitive. Heck, when I pile on the layers of products they're balling up all over the place -- no sensitive skin. *shrug*

Jill, if you've got some big events coming up, why not wait until at least those have come and gone? Most of us here are lucky that we're not experiencing horrifying side effects, but there's one user who has been through the entire protocol who said her skin looked terrible until the treatment period was over. Of course, her perception of terrible might be different than ours, but if these events are important, why take the chance?

I'm a sunBLOCK fanatic. I had melanoma so understand the dangers of UVB, and also understand the aging effects of UVA. I'm so whack I even wear it indoors to protect against the UV coming in through the windows. :-) I would just recommend a product that's high in zinc -- it protects against UVB ~AND~ all three UVA rays. Some people are sensitive to it, but it's generally recognized to be soothing and calming. There are a lot of good ones out there, and I highly recommend Skintegrity although some may find it too emollient. (It comes in tints, too, but doesn't offer any real coverage like a foundation or BB, CC cream would). I see where Algenist has one on their website that I like the looks of -- really pricy for what you get, though. I still think I'm going to give it a try.

I don't think regular sun exposure with protection would intensify the sensitivity -- but of course I can't guarantee that. In Seattle we've had maybe 3 sunny days since my Tria arrived!
