To SurvivedOne,

I think all of the new users of the unit are looking to learn what you and anyone who has had the unit for a longer time has experienced. Thank you for sharing that with us.

I also appear to have more of a bronzed look to my skin. I do though see some speckling of pigmented areas and think they may be "breaking up". May I ask if you experienced this and did it lighten over time?

I went through the first 8 week round (I'm in the second week of my four week recovery) and I definitely had that bronzed look that you referred to. It did go away. Interestingly, my skin looked it's very best in the last week of treatment. I'm so impatient that I don't want to wait to do my second round. Ugh! I will though!

I have that bronzed look, too. Not wild about it but totally acceptable in the big picture. How interesting that you looked the best in your final week of treatment! I was wondering if I'd be looking worse because I've become more red the last couple of treatments.

Have you noticed any changes during your recovery period thus far?

And isn't it funny that we look forward to this!!?!?!?! I just DREADED doing my NuFace and my LightStim -- they just took SO LONG (and the NuFace added a washing cycle to my regimen, and I hated that gel). This is just so darn easy!

Survived One,

Much appreciated. Thank you for your response. I understand the depth of pigmentation and that the results will vary. I am following the protocol and not adding in any other products that may affect the results of the Tria. So far so good!

Thank you again.

Hahaha Luvmyboxer! I feel like I will be like that too when the 4 wk break comes. I still look forward to my nightly treatments. I do experience some light redness in certain areas of my face from time to time, but attribute that to moving the laser over those areas too slowly or too much. Thanks for the update.

MarrenSeattle - I am completely, totally appalled at how you have addressed me in your above post. I posted on a couple of threads regarding this device as I was one of the first official "guinea pigs" in 2012 to use this device. So yes, maybe I know just a little bit more than you do because of all that I was a part of. Because of such, based on some of what I had read, I was looking only to hopefully help someone from possibly hurting themselves, possibly very badly. I didn't come here to be ridiculed nor picked apart because of the limited personal experience I did share. Anything I have conveyed has been MY experience, MY feelings. For ME. Not YOU. No where, no place did I tell you what to do, what not to buy or spend your money on. Your defensiveness is completely uncalled for. I would have gladly liased with anyone here, to share more, my ongoing experience(s) during the 18 months I have been using the laser. However, your argumentative attitude, sarcastic remark(s) toward me makes me glad I did not answer questions, provide any more personal experience/information than I did..I certainly have no desire to be treated with any more disrespect than I just have. And for the record, yet again, you are deceptive saying that I claimed "my skin looked pretty bad". I also only told you the truth as I knew it regarding "wrinkles", as you asked and I was being honest. Anything I conveyed in what you have quoted above was MY experience during the testing, my usage Someone else may and has had even worse experience(s) second time. Others, not. I should never have shared anything whatsoever and clearly doing so is my own fault. I wish everyone best and enjoy your device and hope you will benefit. Would loved to have shared, help others that would have been open to such but not going to put myself through any more disrespect.

SurvivedOne, I didn't see anything that harsh on Maren's post to see why you would be so upset. I will be honest, there were times that I wanted to ask you more questions and as we all appreciate your help, I felt you were condescending, especially to me. I asked you something and your reply back the second time made me feel stupid. Yes, we are all new to this and were so happy to have someone on here that would share their experience with it, not make us feel like idiots! I am only speaking for myself when I say that. I don't know how the others feel. I asked you something about when I start at the top of the zone and then get to the bottom, isn't that repeating the process? Your reply was that I just don't understand what you were saying and you were going to leave it at that. Yes, I felt stupid!!! Maybe you don't realize you come across like that, but you do. I would love to have someone on here that has used this for as long as you and get answers and help.

Sorry that you feel this way! And if I misread your post, I am sorry! Thanks for your help.

MidNight and snowball:

I've felt she was somewhat condescending, too, but was still grateful she took the time to share her experiences. I honestly think we ALL filter what someone else says through our own filters and that leads to misinterpretation of the intent. But boy, I sure wasn't attacking her --- that certainly wasn't MY intent. I wish I could have seen my face when I read her response -- my jaw was on the floor and my eyes were big as saucers! :-)

I apologize for that happening and hope she doesn't stay away and keep her opinions to herself just because she doesn't like me. I know that she does want to help and I'm sure she's helped some. I just wont' tangle with her again. :-)

Thanks for confirming my sense of her messages -- I guess we three are twisting her words in our minds. :-)

You may want to refer back to the post your friend was referring to as I did a bit ago. Several posters thanked me, one stated she understood exactly what I was saying, then thanked me. No one else saw what you and your friend did or do. And please don't make remarks, gossip about me as though I cannot see.

To SurvivedOne,

Sorry that these dialogues have gotten to where they have. I think so often the spoken word is better than text messages and emails because of the situations that may be happening around us at the time we are texting/emailing. I am sorry for your loss.

Both times I have posted on this forum after your informative helpful posts on your experience with the Tria the forums go negative and you are not able to answer my question.

Was your "bronze" look to your skin temporary? Overall did you see an improvement in areas of pigmentation?

Thank you if you are able to respond.

I know you're not addressing me, islandliving, but I'm surprised to see you feel these threads devolve into negative territory. I'm interested to see if anyone else feels that way because I think this forum is EXTRA supportive and people are more than generous and patient with their advice and assistance.

I can't think of anyone here who would engage in any negativity towards another. Just had to get that off my chest. :-) And I'm sorry you've experienced that here -- truly.

You are so welcome. My intent is/was never to tell anyone what to do. The thought of someone hurting, burning their skin is very real. I have seen it. Everyone is totally different. I have as well seen pictures of burns with the device, damage around and almost inside the eye from getting too close to the eye. People using product creating awful reactions, burning, wounds...scarring. Some people think they can use whatever they can, or to hurry up results...lots of reasons. Take it slowand careful as you are, its not a race, lol.

To MarenSeattle,

I am new to the forum. Only joined to learn and share information about the Tria since I did get the TSV. As I mentioned that the questions I asked of SurivedOne never had a chance to be answered and I wanted to learn more about her experiences.

I have found the forum extremely supportive and helpful as it should be.

Good! I think everyone here truly cares about our "friends" here. And it's so nice to be going through this together, don't you think? And happy to see you're doing well with the treatment. Honestly, I was so nervous about it before I actually began I really didn't think I'd be one of the ones to stick it out. But happily, and it seems this way for many of us, it's not nearly as scary as we'd feared and we're cautiously optimistic (and enthusiastic) about the potential results. :-)

SurvivedOne - I, too, did not see anything in Maren's post to warrant your response to her. If that is the way you feel about it, so be it...sorry you took it that way. It looks to me like Maren took responsibility for being unclear and not remembering exactly what you had previously posted and also thanked you for posting your experience. Maren has been a great help to all of us and seems to be a very nice person with a great sense of humor. I seriously doubt she had any intentions of upsetting you.

Awwww, thanks, shannara. *hug hug* But I'm actually VERY mean and grumpy, as evidenced by the SCARY deep scowl-induced wrinkles between my eyes. :-)

Honestly, I think we're all excrutiatingly nice and sincerely care how our fellow Tria users are faring. I also think we're supportive no matter what -- to those who feel they need to return it to those who are soldiering on through the "side effects". I'm so grateful you're all here!!

I was reading on the Tria website that it is indicated for the treatment of lines and wrinkles. I guess about 76% of users saw a reduction in them. Honestly I bought the Tria to see if it would reduce the fine lines around my eyes. I don't need help with 'clarity' or tone really. From what they claim I would expect (hope) for that result with the one treatment round.

bljed, remind me -- Was it you who was hoping to keep this treatment on the down low from your family? If so, your husband's response is EXTRA sweet! :-)

Yes, that was me. Its why I mentioned it because I found it amusing. lol
