Good morning everyone!

I stopped the laser on my face until i see a derm on mon about my spider veins.Am hoping she says it ok to use.

I got the cure gel last week and must say this is the biggest wow product i have ever used!..I have been using it about 4 or 5x a day and am blown away by the amount of dead skin that is coming off.At first i thought no way is this my skin,so i put some on my counter and put a glove on and rubbed the counter just to see if it balled up which it did not..4 days later my skin is so smooth looking and feeling its just incredible! My pores are much smaller to.....Its so gentle i can use it without any problems..I am gonna use this several x a day until i quit getting so much balling up.I paid about 29.00 for mine and you get 6.5 oz .

.

MidNight: Phillip on EDS said he "worked" on the little red veins around his nose (with the Tria) and was seeing an improvement. I hope your derm gives you the go ahead. Please let us know because many of us have them, too. Did they appear AFTER you started using the Tria, or were they there before? I haven't seen any new ones (that I've noticed, anyway).

Where did you get your Cure? I ordered 5 sample packets but they're being shipped from Japan so I haven't gotten them yet. I'm really looking forward to trying this, too! If I'm as impressed as you are, I'll see if I can find a US seller. I'm so happy it's working for you so well!

Hi Maren!

Thats good to know the laser took his away.I have quite a few so thought i should go in..I thought maybe i saw new ones but actually they might have been there just not showing as much but am wondering if they become more noticeable like brown spots before they dissolve.?...I cancelled my appt. because i did not feel like driving 1 hr to get there today. This was the only place that had good reviews for this procedure..The ones in my area did not.I am gonna go ahead and use the laser any way and see what happens..Do you know how far in to using the laser Philip was before they looked better?

I bought my gel from someone in NY on ebay for 29.00 total..They gave me a expire date and it was sealed..All the writing on bottle is Japanese tho..Too funny!

Good question about if they become more pronounced like the brown spots reportedly do. It would KIND of make sense -- but I'd check with CS to be sure.

If I recall correctly, Philip went through his initial 8 week session and they'd improved somewhat, and was concentrating on them more during his second session.

Hi all,

I have not begun using my Tria yet, was waiting until my 3-weeks-ago Botox and Voluma kicked in. The Botox never did, and today I received Perlane (nasolabial, jawline and lower cheeks), and Dysport. In 3 weeks I will get a soft filler designed for use in the hollows under the eyes.

What I wanted to share, I asked her if it would interfere with all this stuff my face was getting shot full of, if I were to also used a laser device, or LED light, etc. She said that anything that produced heat on the skin would cause any injectable I'd had to dissipate quickly and would be a waste of my money (for the injectables).

I guess I'm headed for the seller's area on ebay. I have a Light Stim and the Tria (never used) and both produce heat. I didn't ask about other devices, like microcurrent.

pdxlalesley - According to the FAQ posted @ FaceMaster.com, the recommended use of microcurrent depends on the type of injectable...

Can I use the FaceMaster® if I have had injections in my face?
Many people have injections into problem spots on their face. In general, toning the underlying muscles provides the best foundation for any spot treatments, just as it does for make-up. Let us take a look at four common injectables:

1. Restylane: a filler made of bio-degradable hyaluronic acid, this is FDA approved to provide volume to problem lines in the skin. It does nothing to tone muscles, and in no way interferes with FaceMaster actions.

2. Collagen: another injectable, commonly used in the lips, or in fine lines between the brows etc. We recommend avoiding the injected spots when using the FaceMaster, except for the general feathering mode. The FaceMaster can be fully used on the rest of the uninjected areas of the face.

3. Botox: a muscle paralyzing toxin, this is only injected into muscles that are over-contracted, meaning usually those above and between the brows, and in some cases, the crows feet areas outside the eyes. The rest of the face needs the opposite, namely contraction, to tone muscles, such as lids, cheeks etc. So the FaceMaster is perfect for the untreated areas of the face.

4. Fat: sometimes injections of fat are harvested from donor sites in the patients own abdomen, then injected into trouble spots in the face. Again, it will only look better if the underlying muscles are toned, and presents no impediment to using the FaceMaster right over it.

I used my Tria at level 3 last night and all I can say is OUCH! It thought it felt a lot more ""zingy"" and warm than the previous 2 levels. My face felt tender for a little while afterwards. This morning I only have one small red area under the right eye that was easily covered with concealer. I think I will take the advice to ice before I do my treatment tonight!

Thanks for the info lyn, I do have the ssc egg and another similar device sold here on qvc. Today I am so puffy and last night had so much pain, and it wasn't cheap! So I sure don't want to undo any benefits from the fillers. I am also thinking of not doing the under eye area---just too much in a short time. Thanks again.

You can still return your Tria to the Q, right? I'm hoping that's not what you're putting on eBay.

Even after I complete this treatment, I know I'd still need fillers anyway. My wrinkles (the expression lines) are just way too deep for an at home laser device. My skin is looking better than ever (except for the red and the sandpaper :-), but I've been able to achieve great results with some skin care products, too. I think it's great you're doing the fillers -- I hope you LOVE the results!

Is it not unusual for botox not to "kick in"? I don't think I've ever heard that, but I haven't done DEEP research since I'm not planning on getting it too soon. I keep spending my money on goofy devices. :-)

I will be starting week 3 tomorrow night. I used level 1 for the first week and level 2 for the second week. Tomorrow night I will use level 3. I've had no charging problems at all and only had to recharge the unit once. So far no dramatic change but I didn't really expect it at this point yet.

I have only been using it on my face. I was wondering how many of you are also using it on your neck and hands? I have skin crepiness on the neck I would like to smooth and some hyperpigmentation on the hands. I know it's not "approved" to use any place but the face but I think Fraxel is used on the hands and neck.

Thanks!

Check out the Week 4 thread -- a couple have mentioned they're using it on their necks, chest, hands, forearms, etc.

And my first night on L3 I could really tell the difference, too -- and I'd iced! Some people said there wasn't much of an Ouch! increase, so I think I was hoping to slide right on in, too. Icing DOES help a LOT, and I did it for the first several days -- before AND after. Now I just tough it out, it doesn't surprise me any more. :-) Good luck!

Tonight will be my last Wk 3 treatment. I've noticed that my face gets more red during each treatment, however the redness subsides more quickly post-treatment. I've added Kate's Dermal Quench to my post-treatment skin care routine, thanks to Maren's suggestion. I haven't used Tria's face serum, but I continue to use their cleanser. I am considering adding retinol into my weekly PM routine beginning Wk 4. The Tria serum contains retinol, so I may decide to use it. My concern is that the addition of retinol may be too drying for my skin. Decisions, decisions.

I haven't tried the DermalQuench, lyn -- but I REALLY want to get it! I got the Avene Thermal Water which I keep in the fridge and it feels wonderful. I think it's because of the fine mist delivery - don't think there's anything extra special about the water itself, but I've never had a facial mister product that just felt so good when applying!

I'm getting more red, too! Last night I noticed my entire face looked kind of sunburned, but like you, it subsides much more quickly. I was going to post and ask if others were experiencing that, too, so thanks for sharing and letting me know I'm not alone! :-)

ETA: I was thinking about Kate Sommerville's retinol product -- I think I was influenced by the before and afters and the "special" delivery system. Which retinol do you use?
