Thanks for posting,

Interesting, to compare note from FAQ and the information they address in the videos,

especially about the sun spots, I do see a smoother cheek area.

When can I expect to first see results?

You should start to see visible results to the skin’s texture in as little as two weeks, followed by reduction in pigmentation and a reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles occurring a few weeks after the full eight-week course of treatment.
How long should I use the Age-Defying Laser for? When is the process fully complete?
You should use your Age-Defying Laser daily for eight weeks. When you feel like you're ready for an additional treatment, treat for another eight week cycle.

Thanks for sharing ambersmom. Looks like some aren't shipping until December 2014! They also recommend the 8-4-8 treatment schedule.

So far so good on Level 3! I still look forward to using it every night+ still doing my plié's. Haven't used the Tria for any other area than my face.

Haha, you're so funny! I am so FOCUSED on my treatment, trying to make sure I cover every single centimeter. I don't think I could multi-task and get my barre work done. :-)

Maren, I still am in front of a mirror. You'd be surprised! The plié's keep me in time with how fast I glide it on my face and I know the time is almost up with a zone when I hit 50.

Well this is depressing - I am so uncoordinated that I can't even manage to hold an ice pack on one part of my face while I use the Tria on another. I have to fully focus for the whole 10 minutes on just that one task. {#emotions_dlg.blink}

Other than that, I'm with most of you. Dry, sandpaper skin, and a sunburned look. Haven't missed a night, which surprises me, because sometimes I wait till right before bed and I'm soooo tired, but I keep plugging along. Speaking of which....

I still need to call Tria for a new plug, I've just been dreading waiting on hold forever. It's charging fine plugged into my computer.

My normally sensitive and breakout prone skin has now decided that nothing but powder makeup can touch it, which is great, because powder on dry skin is so fun. Every exfoliator I try seems to make my skin even more red, and I am seriously considering dialing down everything but simple moisture until the 8 weeks is up. Speaking of which....

Has it been 8 weeks yet? {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

I would like to know the answer to that too. I can't believe that gal gets a whole week with one time charging it. I get 2.5 treatments at level 3 and it has to be charged. To be honest, I don't like charging it this much either. I am wondering too if something may be wrong with the ones bought from QVC.

Good morning!

Called TRia CS this morning and asked about that and they said 2 days is the norm and they dont know why hers goes a week..They suggest just keeping it in the charger..I thought maybe each night would be a charge going against our 400 charges max and she said each night would be a partial charge not a full one subtracting from our 400.Hope that makes sense?!

She also said people who use the Tria for the 12 weeks then store there unit without charging it will make the battery go bad faster..She said to leave it in charger OR charge every 2 weeks when not using..Thats good to know..

Hi ! I'm not understanding the 400 charges. Did CS say that the device will only allow 400 recharges and then it won't work? I am hoping that is not the case as they did not mention that during the presentation and gave the impression you could reuse as long as you wanted. I've been following these posts by the way. I purchased my Tria when you guys did and I am on Level 2 but think I need at least another week or so on Level 2 before trying Level3. I have the sandpaper skin but it really doesn't look bad it just feels weird. I've had to change up my makeup routine trying different products that cover better on the sandpaper texture skin than some of my BB and CC creams I was using. I have been noticing more redness/discoloration in certain parts but my skin has been handling the treatments better than I was expecting. I was really worried about the dry,flaky skin. That's so hard to put makeup on. I want to thank you all for sharing your experiences . It's really helped me with my treatments.

njoylife - According to the FAQ posted with the item online here @ QVC.com...

Q: How long will the Age-Defying Laser last?
A: The device is designed to last 3 years with regular use (including its battery pack that is designed to last 400 full charge cycles).

I was using one of those cold packs for coolers and there's no way I could have held that on one area while treating another, but Bella Carro suggested frozen peas and that made it so much easier! I switched them to baggies because the packaging smell wasn't pleasant. Give that a shot and see if it's easier. One of the things I like so much about this is it's so easy and FAST, so I wouldn't be happy adding the extra time icing.

I don't use the peas any more, by the way. On some places it's a little warmer, but after a few passes it's okay. As I mentioned I ordered the Avene Thermal Water (which I'll keep in the fridge) and the Cure Aqua Gel exfoliator. I'll report on both.

I don't think 400 battery charges is a lot. I am already charging mine like every other day since I got it, and I think we are spending a lot of money for it to die after that. I don't know if I will keep this after my 8 weeks. I am not seeing anything different, no dryness or sandpapery feeling. I don't know if that is a good thing or not and the area under my eye is looking a little better since I noticed that festoon that showed up while using this. I just don't use it on that area as much.

I thought I had a problem with my unit. I charged it and then went to use it and nothing happened. OH NO, a dud. I put it back in to charge and took it out right away and then it started up. I am thinking that we all got units that are not new, we got the ones with the problems and that makes me mad.

Last night was my first week 3 treatment. I've made no changes in my PM routine. I've noticed that some areas of my face are no longer experiencing any redness following the treatment. My skin was a little sensitive last night. During the treatment it felt as though I was running a lit match all over my face. Once I finished my treatment and splashed my face with cold water, the heat subsided.

On the plus side: DH noticed that the red mark on my forehead (left over from a cherry angioma removal a few years back) is diminishing.

On the minus side: I am concerned about some of the information Tria CSRs has shared with us users regarding the laser's lifespan with regards to its battery. It was posted that we need to fully charge the unit every couple of weeks while not in use (while stored) in order to ensure its full battery life. HUH? Is Tria suggesting we cannot re-box our laser and set it on a shelf for 2 to 3 months (or longer) until we want to do another treatment? If that's the case, who is unboxing and recharging all of the unsold Trias sitting in warehouses while they wait to be sold?

OK, so I just hopped onto the boards for the first time in several days and ran across the discussion about the 400-recharge limitation on the battery. For crying out loud! Why wasn't this mentioned during the presentation? That is SO like QVC. I have been feeling so fortunate because mine worked right out of the box, I haven't had any charging problems so far, and I even have the charger with the folding prongs. I plugged mine into the wall, left it there, and I drop it back in the cradle every night when I am done.

Now I read this. I didn't expect the laser light mechanism to last forever, because that element is obviously pumping out a lot of energy every time the unit is used, and so the element would understandably degrade. But this business about the battery is a real bummer. I just went and looked at mine, and there does not appear to be any way to open the case and change the battery.

Basically, this thing has an engineered end of life and that fact was not disclosed.
