It just doesn't seem like there is a huge enough payoff. You can accomplish subtle changes with topicals and other no expense things. But it all is very interesting (on several different levels)! I would just rather kick up collagen in other ways.

Here's a Q that I wish someone would answer....if you can't use acid type exfoliants because of dermal irritation, why then be willing to undergo something with a device that causes dermal irritation?

(gazelle, I think we have to start a separate support thread for those who don't use devices.)

I can understand this is your thinking, and trying the Tria is my thinking and my choice.

As I see it using the Tria does not eliminate using topicals, or other ways along with it or at other times.

Interesting point you make, on different levels; a support thread for non-use.

have a good day, Harpa, and good luck with your choices----------

Please don't consider this to be criticizing; I'm not in the least! I'm curious about the different methods, too!

Anyway, I hope everyone gets their desired results! It seems like it is a several-month commitment. I'm also hoping that everyone is following directions to a tee! (I think lyn said it correct on another thread...my conservative approach.)

Harpa, Thank you for your thoughtful response.

It is a commitment, but it is only 10 minutes at L3. Developing your technique with the movement, a new routine (wash face, zap, then the potions) and following the threads was the time investment.

So far I have been fortunate with no irritation to speak of. It is early in the process.

One day we will get it down pat, and then we will change it----------lol

I am out the door----

Here ya go. You'll find A LOT of us referring to this thread in some of the other threads. It has a TON of info on it (some a snooze, but most really helpful foor those of us just starting.) It addresses age spots (how they get darker and come to the surface before they disappear,) to how to stack your skin care, what other tools are okay to use. It's a LONNNNG thread. But worth it. You follow women through over a year of using it. I can say, had I just seen the Q presentation and NOT been following this thread for so long and read about so many women getting great results, I would not have purchased.

FYI...after a few days at level 3, I don't have any redness anymore and I barely feel it. I thought maybe my TRIA was losing steam. My sister who has REALLY sensitive skin went up as well, and hardly feels it anymore and has no redness. So if you can do it for a few days at level 3, odds are after a few days, your skin will adjust and it won't be as bad.

Why would you need a support thread for those who don't use the Tria? Just don't use it and move on. Those of us using the Tria and posting about it chose to use it, knowing full well that we didn't have to, and from what I can tell, many have done quite a bit of research beforehand, so we knew what to expect and what the results would likely be.

As far as being glutens for punishment, once you have the routine down and get used to it, it's not that bad. I've used peels that burned far more than the Tria treatment, even on Level 3. But I guess thank you for your concern? And lots of things in life can be punishing. I really don't rate 10 minutes using the Tria laser in that group.

Cheezit, good luck, I hope you made it through L3 and found that it wasn't as bad as you thought it would be! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

ITA!!! I don't think using this for 10 minutes constitutes being gluttons for punishment. I enjoy this time and enjoy using it. I love all my beauty gadgets!!!

Ahhhhhhh, I did L3 for the first time last night and it went very well. I did ice a bit pre-op but on the 4th section (mouth area) I didnt and that was fine too. Actually I really kind of enjoyed L3 and am relieved I am there and will stay there now till completion. My face was a bit red in certian areas this morning, but the pain was no where near what I expected from reading the boards!!!! Actually I think when I first started L1, that was the worst since I didnt know what to expect. I knew what to expect for L3 so maybe that actually helped? Anyway, glad to be amongst those that have made it. I will continue again tonight.

Keep the tread going ladies, really love reading how you ALL are doing!!!!! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}
