I'm getting ready to buy a new tube and I've been thinking about all the brands I've used over the years.
Aim, Aquafresh, Arm & Hammer, Close-up, Colgate, Crest, Macleans, Ultra Brite. I even used Pearl Drops.
Don't think I ever used Gleem or Pepsodent. Might have had a brief fling with Mentadent or Tom's, but memory fails.
My dentist used to hand out Crest products, then he switched to Colgate. So I switched to Colgate. The last time I was there, I had a tube of Crest Pro-Health in my see-you-next-time bag.
I tried it yesterday and it was an unpleasant experience.
Have you noticed toothpastes that make your mouth feel like you're eating an underripe persimmon? Or how 'bout the ones that make you feel like the lining of your mouth is disintegrating? What is that goo that comes off in your mouth?
Are you using something that actually works for you?

I use Sensodyne Pronamel because I have sensitive teeth, however anybody can use it. It helps to build the enamel in your teeth, which wears down over time due to eating, drinking things like soda and basically just chewing food all the time. Teeth do not last a lifetime so I want to protect mine as best as I can.

I use Crest Gum Detoxify. It's a bit expensive, but I love that it bubbles up in my mouth, filling my whole mouth with toothpaste foam while I brush for 2 minutes.

Sensodyne mostly for my sensitive teeth. Otherwise, except for gel toothpastes which I do not like, I find them all pretty much the same. Otherwise, I buy whatever is on sale.

I use either Crest 3D Whitening or Colgate Optic White, usually alternate them. Most convenient and inexpensive way to get at least some whitening.

I used to use Colgate or Crest. Now however I prefer to use flouride free toothpaste and have been using Tom's of Maine.

I use Sensodyne with Tartar Control plus Whitening. I have very sensitive teeth and have for years plus my dentist always complain about the tartar buildup on my teeth when I go to see him for my checkups. I brush and use the Waterpik and try to floss some (this I dislike doing as the back teeth are hard to do) but I still need a real good cleaning every six months when I go. I do drink coffee which I love and I know that stains your teeth. My dentist does give me those Crest or Colgate handouts but I always give them away to someone else to use. I'm set in my ways and am going to use what I want.
