Toni Brattin Wigs _ This is What I Wear!

I just ordered two new (and received) Toni wigs this time from her website.....now she's on QVC.

I've been begging QVC to have her on for years!  I've followed her from HSN, Evine and her own website.  I SWEAR by those wigs.

I've bought Hairdo and everything else and none compare (in my opinion) to her wigs.

I always wear the same color.  I'm a little concerned because the color looks different (I HATE black roots) and my other wigs don't have them....I hope I don't have to send them back.  Hopefully, they'll be the same.

All of mine are the same "bob" look like she's selling here on QVC.  I think the trick is to not go too long.....

I ordered 2 of each offered because I wear a wig every time I leave the house.

Oh!  I almost forgot....the plus and regular threw me.  No one could explain on QVC what that meant.  I've never had to choose.  I assume mine are considered regular.  I've never thought I had a 'big head'.  Ha!  I'm sure some would disagree but for other reasons....Hummm???

@Annabellethecat66, I succumbed and ordered her wispy little French bob "The Trendsetter", which yay, comes in an ashy blonde as well as the usual gold.

I also am not crazy over the rooted look, b/c my own hair is light, a very pale brown.  Dark roots look silly on me.  But, I've been looking at the Trendsetter on other sites, and with easy pay it's too tempting.  If the roots are too dramatic, at least it's easy to return to QVC.

I think the quality of her wigs and pieces is very good.  I own several pieces. Some, very few,  of the ones I bought years ago weren't so good and I got rid of them  but the ones I wear today are excellent and people don't know I wear them.Woman Happy

Re: Toni Brattin Wigs _ This is What I Wear!

Oh-- forgot to mention that Toni's wigs have had a reputation for being "petite average".  So although I have only worn average wigs to date, I decided to try her "plus".  My noggin is on the borderline, at 22.5 inches, so here's hoping.

A friend of mine did try Toni Brattin when she had chemo, and although she by then was a pretty eclectic wig shopper, she liked Toni Brattin's wigs...

@Oznell,

That 'Trendsetter' wig looked outstanding on Mary! She was thrilled she could wear a wig now that she has the plus size. I like that wig, too. Good choice.Woman Happy

Re: Toni Brattin Wigs _ This is What I Wear!

@Oznell All of the wigs I have (all are her's) I don't notice dark roots.  I mean why would a person want to have dark roots if they don't have to?  That's why I sent back those wigs QVC sold called "Hairdo".  Did you know that was originally sold by Jessica Simpson's hairstylist?  Maybe he sold the company....I don't know.

Then I ordered from QVC Sherry Shepherd's wigs and they were tight and had the stupid black roots.  Ugh!  I didn't like them either.

So, over and over I've tried other wigs when I couldn't find Toni.  I just received last week 2 from her website.  None of the wigs I have have dark roots.  This is going to be interesting @Oznell....I wonder if we will both be sending them back.

Also, I've been driving QVC crazy about the difference in plus and regular....no one could tell me what that meant.

I can't wear her hair pieces because I HAVE to wear a full wig because it's right in the front where my hair is so thin.

My Drs all tell me it's mainly because I don't have a thyroid but the fact that I'm soon 71 (hair often gets thin as you age).

I can't begin to tell you how important a wig is to someone who is folically challenged...Ha!  It is the last thing I do before I walk out the door.

I try to have a sense of humor about it.  There have been a few times when people say, "You don't look like your 70".  My friend nearby will say, "Annabelle....don't do it".  And I'll lift it up!  The look on people's faces is precious!

I would definitely look more my age if I didn't wear the wig because it's so thin.....

I always joke and if I had a boyfriend (I'm a widow) and got 'romantic' I'd say, "Wait!  I have to take my hair off".  Maybe he'd say, "That's OK!  I have to take off my (this or that)".  Ha!

Love you guys!

Re: Toni Brattin Wigs _ This is What I Wear!

Years ago I purchased a lot of her hairpieces from HSN.  Can't wear them anymore as my hair is a short bob.  Not to be critical of her, but I almost didn't recognize her.  Something about the area around her mouth -- looks like fillers or Botox.  In my opinion she looked much better before.

I have been thinking about it and if I can find out where to donate them, I'm going to donate some of the one's I've had for awhile to people who are undergoing chemo.

They are perfect but I just set them aside and order more.  I think I'll check into that.

Re: Toni Brattin Wigs _ This is What I Wear!

I know, @Annabellethecat66, we'll have to compare notes when we get them!

Did you see @Moonchilde's thread?  I was telling some of my story in that one, and posted some links for someone who has been looking for a silvery, NOT gray, wig color.

Have you seen Heather Hershey's fabulous wig reviews?  She owns "Cysterwigs" and does these addictive, in-depth reviews of both wigs and wig colors.  I always consult her videos to find out if a blonde is ashy enough for me--  my complexion is so "cool" I look hideous and fevered in golden blondes, but close to human in ash blondes...

Other terrific wig reviewers are "Blondielocks", cindynok, Katt Tracks, Lisa M., Fauxhairfabulous and on and on.  It's so helpful to see real live people modeling and talking about the wigs, and "showing what they can do"!
