Re: Tired of my hands getting so much of my serums!

I pump my serum on the back of my left hand (like a palette) and use my right index finger to apply it on my face. Not any waste that way. Try it.

That what I do as well. Not only do I feel like I'm able to control the amount but the back of my

hand is benefiting from the product as well.

Re: Tired of my hands getting so much of my serums!

If the serum has a dropper I drop a tiny bit on my face. If it doesn't, I put a very small amount on my fingertip. I use my fingertips to massage in.

If I need more I add a tiny bit more. I never get it on my hands & never feel I am wasting product.

Could you wear one of those thin disposable gloves (they look like what drs. wear) to apply it? I keep those around to do different things around the house. They are cheap by the box and you could use one a few times before throwing it away.

I always go out of my way to put whatever I am putting on my face on the back of my hands too and that includes retin-a. My old hands need the pampering. Smiley Happy

I have no problem with it on my hands. I usually rub it all over like hand cream, and it disappears quickly so I can proceed with the next skincare step.

That's what I finally started doing. Not just to save serum waste but because the peels and firming pads were ruining my gel nail polish. If it weren't for really good results and a big day coming up (son's wedding reception) I'd take a beauty product break and go back to washing, moisturizing and Sun screen. This is a lot of work! Lol

Re: Tired of my hands getting so much of my serums!

I'm glad you asked this question....I thought it was just me having this issue.

I used to use my finger, but found them to be drier lately...so I put mine in the cup of my palm also right now.

Didn't think about using thin glove...

If I was to warm my serums up in my hands their would be none left for my face...maybe we need to keep our fingers and hands damp while applying ?

It's always something ain't it !!

I use a dry, cheap beauty blender for some of my products. Especially for the stuff I put on my neck. It is great for JM Balm.

Sounds like you may be buying product you can't afford?

Rude much?

Seriously people, it's a logical question. Not rude or snarky. You all must live in a glass house.

If you have to ask & mention the cost then the question is: can you afford this product? That's it. Get over the defensiveness. This only validiates my ?

If it were a valid question, you might have phrased it "To save money, if losing serum on fingers is an issue, you might consider finding an effective but less pricey alternative." Instead you worded it "if YOU cannot AFFORD..." which is targeted at the other person and insinuates they are buying foolishly. And then you denied it after two people challenged your wording as rude. At the very least, you're not careful about what you write to other people and at the worse, you are being passive aggressive twice, first to the OP about her financial situation IN PUBLIC and second by coyly denying you meant anything other than being objective about the issue. It is the word "YOU" in "you can't afford" that indicates your intent. NOT fooled by you.

Campion, a very incisive reply. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}
