Time In A Bottle

I ordered this and recieved it the other day and just put it away. I read that some ladies received this and there was leakage in the box it came in. So I took mine out to look at it. Well I took the cap off the serum bottle and there was no seal on the bottle and a thick residue around the neck of the bottle. My question is to those of you that ordered it did the serum bottle have a seal on it and did you have the same residue around the neck? I think I might call customer service and ask about this or maybe send it back. TIA
