Do these brushes really blend your foundation well and which one is a good one to purchase?

I use a brush from Sephora, the brand,and it blends foundation more evenly, esp. the edges.

Be prepared-a good brush can be a little pricey. Sephora is a good place to begin to look.

I have the Mac Oval #6 & it really does make my foundation look nice. I don't have great skin, but it looks pretty good when I apply foundation with this brush.

Still on the fence-tried the artis brushes (too expensive) and the knock offs (too hard to clean) and every review i read they compare it to a beauty blender-well, if beauty blenders are the gold standard just use the beauty blender! I've sworn by my BB for years-no dupes, no knock offs-the pink, original BB. Best application ever. I will say, I loved the small circular artis for concealer and the linear brush for liner.

Artis brushes (and comparable quality knock off brushes) are superior to any other manual method of application.  There is no way a coarse sponge can accomplish the surface variability/accommodation of millions of individual, tightly compacted, tiny little filaments.  Anything applied to any smooth surface is distributed more evenly, uniformly.  Anyone can test them - just use a piece of watercolor paper, compare them to what can be accomplished with fingers, sponges, even airbrushes. 

It's funny, whenever there is a question about these tools there is always discussion of money.  My not being able to afford something does not justify unfounded bias  against that thing. It is a sullen,  petulant, green thing to do and be isn't it?  Artis brushes are worth more than their price. These are the kind of things worth saving for, worth bypassing the wannabe's for.  It's like handbags and shoes......  oh yeah and diamonds!

I have the iBeauty by Revecen oval foundation brush in two sizes and I bought them at Winners in Canada so look at T.J. maxx or Marshall's in the U.S.. The bigger brush was $12.99 and the smaller one was $9.99. They are shaped like a manual toothbrush which is why that's the title of this thread.

Look at the Artis makeup brush sets on HSN as the 3 piece one has a videoclip so you can see what they look like, how to use them, and how they compare to a regular foundation brush or a Beauty Blender type of sponge.

So far I'm liking my iBeauty brushes although I think the plastic handle could be stronger. The brush fibers are a very densely packed taklon nylon and the brushes feel like velvet. You can use them for powder or liquid.

I'm on the lookout for the smaller brushes to use on the eyes and brows.
