I would like to know....why do so many women post questions like, what color should I paint my kitchen, what should I buy with a Sephora gift card, would I look good with purple nail polish?

Are there that many women who make personal decisions based on opinions of strangers who post on a beauty board? Could they be that dependent on everyone's, just anyone's judgement on how reorganize their underwear drawer?
