I'll have to respectfully disagree with you, OP. There's actually a QVC Germany and a QVC Italy. The hosts and models look very well groomed and nice. People are people no matter where you go.

I have to agree with Chrystaltree. The thing that offends me is when the host acts like nothing Americans do has any class, or anything American isn't as good as what they do across the pond. That offends me. It's fine if they want to state what they are doing over there, they just need to stop putting anything American down. One host does this almost every show as a method of selling. I find it a total disgrace on her part, and very tacky!

English dentistry is no worse than American dentistry. It's expensive in both countries, and there are plenty of people who can't afford it in both countries. Brits are not obsessed with glow in the dark white teeth.

everything is relative. I have family in the Netherlands, France, and Sweden...the USA is a brand new country compared to Europe....they are always curious that Americans judge everything by how new it is....and our lack of respect for older things and traditions. Amazed that perfectly good buildings are torn down to build another one in its place.

Europeans bathe.....but don't use deodorant....I don't even know if you can buy it there!

My Grandparents both sets were from Europe. My poor Grandmother (from Poland)

worked hard, had 7 children (4 died) and made her own and childrends clothes.

My Grandparents from England were very wealthy. They had servants their clothes were made for them and went to all of societys parties and balls.

So I think it depends where in Europe you live just like in here. If I am a farmer I'm not gonna be wearing Jimmy Choo shoes. I'm going to wear what fits my budget and lifestyle.

Where do I begin-did you ever watch House Hunters International and look at some of the homes and apartments throughout Europe-they are disasters! The only truly modern city is London. Did you ever go to Greece-filthy-cats climbing all over the tables in outdoor cafes.

If they are ahead of us it's probably because they don't take time to bathe and visit a dentist. Leaves lots of time to work on social issues I guess....
