@Texasmouse, I have read so many articles giving the same advice. Many articles do recommend a Vitamin C also. I am in the process of eliminating all of those wrinkle serums that really don't do much other than add moisture.

@Tricolor I'm doing the same thing. While Dr Dray is of the opinion that antioxidants don't maintain their stability in skincare products and are therefore ineffective, I've read more than enough endorsements of Vitamin C serums. It seems a lot of people do find that they make a difference. I used a bottle of the Timeless Vitamin C serum but I was discouraged because it oxidized on me before I could finish it, even though I took steps to avoid it. About six weeks ago, I started using Retin-A (in it's weakest strength of 0.025%) so I'm going to let my skin get used to that and then consider reintroducing a Vitamin C serum. This time though, I'm going to look for a more stable version, even if it means using a formulation that contains one of the other forms of Vitamin C rather than ascorbic acid. Are you currently using a Vitamin C serum and if so, which one? I've been hearing good things about the one by Mad Hippie and might try that one.

@Texasmouse, I have heard great reviews about Mad Hippie but have not used that one. I have been on Retin A for a little over 20 years and won't be without it. I am definitely aging but can't imagine what I would look like without it. Lol! The one that I am currently using and love is Drunk Elephant C Firma. It is pricey at $80 I believe at Sephora. However, it is meant to be used only every 3 days so mine lasts a very long time. Good luck with your Retin A. I never had any issues but will warn you not to get it into your corners of the mouth or nose. Last year I thought I would put mine near my laugh lines to see if it did anything. My skin peeled from doing that. My daughter works for a derm and I told couldn't figure out why I was peeling after all of these years. She was the one who told me to keep it away from those areas.

Thank you, @Tricolor!

I purchased the Pop Sonic Leaflet and since it exfoliates, there is no need for me to use product and water to exfoliate. I love this Leaflet. Removes all your makeup, cleans easily and you can also use for applying serums. My skin is supper soft now and more youthful looking. This is one of the best purchases of 2017 for me.
