Thinking of Returning the Elemis TSV (from Oct 2022)

I have been using the products for a few days now and I am not impressed.  Not sure my skin likes the change.  Neither the cleanser or exfoliating pads seemed all that special.  I think I prefer what I was using (Josie Maran Pineapple Wash & Dr Nassif Detox Pads).  And the moisturizer, I don't if I expected too much oe what. LOL

Anyone else using for the first time?  What are you expereincing?  Any long time users think I should give it more time?  It's only been a week. But I do have 2 pimples and I rarely get a pimple)

@justashopper   I think you need to give it more time, no cream is a miracle worker in a few days.

I bought it also, and have it used it for about a year and love it.  I think it has made a difference in the fine lines and wouldn't be without it.

However, it's is expensive, so if you feel better returning it and aren't going to use it, then I would.  I haven't even opened the little box yet, (bought it for the cream only) and am only using the cream so far, so maybe I'll give the other items a try today.

It could have been a mistake to order such a big supply unless you already knew you were thrilled with the products.I think for a newbie a discovery size kit is a much better way to try somethig new. I often even look for sample sizes to try on ebay.

I love the Elemis that I use.  Have been using the night cream but this time around bought the extra rich.  Haven't opened it yet though.  I won't be without Elemis, it has made a difference in my skin.  No cream - no matter the price - is going to make a difference in a few days but I have found over the long term this works for me.  However, like the other poster said  if you feel you won't use it, then return it.

@justashopper You have until 1/31/23. Give it more time. Elemis generally has good reviews. I personally would use it as long as possible and if you see no results then return. Like another poster noted, facial products usually take a few weeks before results are noticed. I've had good luck with this product but I did not buy the TSV as I still have plenty of products.

If you don't like it send it back soon. I wouldn't wait until January. Returns usually take longer with all the cr ap that gets sent back after the holidays.

The only Elemis product I love is their Sharp Shower Gel.

I recently bought the peptide eye cream and had a horrible reaction to it!

I also use JM Pineapple cleanser or Purity. I love both and never had a negative issue with either.

I am keeping the Elemis even though I cannot stand the smell. In a matter of a week my skin looks refreshed. I am comparing it to other, what I consider, high end moisturizers. Nothing I ever used made such a difference. The cleanser did not wow me and I still like Josie Maran's pineapple cleanser much better.  I am going to give the toner a try and see if I like it. I did not even look at the pads yet. As far as I am concerned the moisturizer is worth keeping even if I do not like anything else.

@Janey2 @KBEANS @cjm61 @JudyL @Shelbelle

You guys are totally right LOL.  Of course it takes more time and it's silly to buy a massive kit not knowing if I like the stuff.

Maybe I just don't want to like it.  LOL.  But I think you have all made a good points!

Thank you!

Re: Thinking of Returning the Elemis TSV (from Oct 2022)

@justashopper  I can speak as a long time Elemis user now.

I came to Elemis in early 2021 with the purchase of the cleansing balm from Ulta. I got it during one of their 21 Days of Beauty events for half price.  I loved it immediately and as it so happened Elemis was on QVC a few weeks later.  One of the offerings was a duo set of "choice of" Marine Collagen Cream.  I decided to try the moisturizer since the QVC deal was 2 for $89 and the cream is $132 a jar.  I even opted to select the auto-delivery option.  My thinking was if I didn't like the cream, I would return it and cancel the AD.  My feeling within 30-days was that my skin felt very hydrated for mid-February and dryness has become an issue for me the last few years as being a septuagenarian crept up on me.  Asking me now after almost two years, I will say for the time being Marine Collagen Cream will be my first choice for moisturizing.  BTW: I chose the Rich formula.

I now regularly use four Elemis products: Marine Collagen Cream, Peptide4 Eye Recovery Cream, Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash, and Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm

I would recommend you give the cream more time, especially since you have until Jan. 31 to return for a refund. However, when it gets close to Christmas, if your feelings are still only lukewarm, I would pack it up and return it.

Re: Thinking of Returning the Elemis TSV (from Oct 2022)

I bought it strictly for the cream which I am already using.  I was on AD for it, and that had expired.  Don't know when I'll try out the other products.  I'm really fond of either an oil cleanser or the Beauty Spy cleansing balm for nighttime and I use Aveeno in the shower.  I just started using the Nassif pads so many people here seem to love, but have found it difficult to remember that added step since I don't want that huge container sitting out on my small counter.

If you're not liking the pads and the cleanser, you could try just using the cream for a month before deciding.
