I think you ladies make an excellent point -- the wigs need to be "tailored" to the wearer and certainly the hosts weren't going to do so as they weren't keeping them. Laura Geller came out at one point in the afternoon beauty show and she looked fantastic in it but readily admitted they trimmed her bangs for her (she said she is taking it home!). So I think anyone who purchased it should absolutely take it to their hairdresser and have it tweaked for their face. Btw, for anyone who doesn't think this is a very good line, I have the style-a-do and it is really nice. Blends well, looks just like my hair, isn't too shiny and really fun to wear especially in the summertime heat. So please don't knock the line as cheap simply from watching it on tv -- it really is good quality in person.
PS - I think the vendor Christina is adorable and did a wonderful job yesterday!!

And then again when I saw Antonella.
Oy!
They were good sports for wearing that horrid looking thing.
LOL. That's so funny.
I was thinking it's a good thing that Alberti wasn't presenting any of the shows because they probably would make him wear one!

Even when I was having chemo and shaved my head I couldn't wear a wig. I don't know how people do it.

That's the wonder of a free America, you get to make whatever choice suits you the best but if a wig, yes, even one from QVC, gives a woman a sense of confidence to have hair on her head then so what if it looks like a wig. Just so you know, the purpose of a wig is not to "fool anyone", the purpose of a wig is to give a woman a sense of confidence as she suffers through hair loss due to chemotherapy (as I am for the second time in two and a half years) or medical condition. Those of us who suffered the loss of our hair are very happy to have an option to a chemo scarf or a bald scalp or would you have us holed up in a dark closet so you don't have to look at our fake hair. I shake my head at the mentality some of you have. News flash, this is not about those who don't need a wig, it's about those who do.
If you have your own natural hair then then there but for the grace of God go you.

If you works for you great, but wearing fake hair would never give me confidence. Just the opposite it made me really self conscience. I tried some wigs on at the urging of my mother. I couldn't even wear a hat unless it was cold outside. I just went out in my bald head, after the first time or two I didn't even think about it anymore.

If it looks like a wig and feels like a wig, it's a wig.
I really do hope I never actually need to wear one. It's already been 90+ several days this spring and I just can't imagine adding anything to my head with the exception of a light hat.

However, if I were in my elder years and I could not hold my arms up for 15 min to blow and curl my hair, I would absolutely get a wig. And most seniors cannot afford something expensive... so this would suffice. Yes, it is commendable to go "natural" but some ladies in the past generations are too set in their ways, and a believe wig is better than a bed head. I don't think this is marketed to the 20-somethings.
And what about the SURVIVORS who can't afford to get extensions or an expensive hairpiece? Best wishes to you all...!
I agree with you...there are a lot of "mean" spirited people out there. My mom has cancer and will be needing a wig soon. Not everyone can afford "real hair" wigs. You do the best you can with what you have...and we all still want to look and feel our best. Ignore the rest...
