I think it is lovely! I only wish I had that thick of hair to make such a braid.  If I could I would  style it like that all the time.

For those with thin/short hair, Google 'faux crown braid'.

 

Basically you create small ponytails...in the case, around the head.

Then you split, create new a new pony...repeat. 

There are lots of elastic bands, but it's the same look as a regular braid.

And for the thin hair, 'pancake' the braid or pull it out to fatten it up.

 

There are so many creative gals in YouTube.

If you want a braid, they'll show you how!!
