I just have to say this, I've been a Philosophy girl since 2000 and wow has it changed. I know the company was sold to Cody years ago and that is no doubt why. I remember when holiday came around, the packaging was so beautiful and the scents were absolutely yummy. I remember shower gels came in festive, colorful boxes and sets came in embossed tin boxes with lovely illustrations. The brand, that was once warm, festive, and inviting has become the polar opposite. No more cute packaging, and the bottles aren't even pretty. Have you seen the holiday bottles for shower gel this year? I mean, what is that? I just miss it I guess. I suppose it all comes down to saving money for the business, but it's just a real shame. Rant over. Thanks for letting me vent.

Re: The Philosophy that was….

I agree! I'll look for better packaging in other brands for Christmas gifts.
Fortunately the PX has many sets over the holidays (but my granddaughter expects Amazing Grace)

Unless it’s for gift giving, I really don’t care about packaging just quality and value for me.

Re: The Philosophy that was….

It has been a long time since I have purchased anything from Philosophy.

I used to use Hope in a Tube, but it was discontinued for a reformulation. I have moved on to other eye creams.

I still enjoy Pure Grace, but I have a decent supply for now.

Re: The Philosophy that was….

I started using Philosophy back in the late 90's, purity, Hope in a jar and the shower gels were amazing.  I stopped when Christina Carlino stopped presenting at QVC, it just wasn't the same.

Re: The Philosophy that was….

For several years the holiday Philosophy scents were my gift that accompanied a check for folks, that changed a few years ago because the fragrances were so disappointing. The only thing I still purchase is purity and that may change s well. So sad to see good things drift away.

Re: The Philosophy that was….

I've been using Amazing Grace for many years.  I use the spritz and the EDP or EDT.   I get compliments on smelling good from strangers.  I can smell the scent on my clothes in the laundry basket.

I don't use the body lotion anymore, but I do have the body wash in my shower.

I think that unfortunately it's a sign of the times. It's the economy. Companies are scrambling to keep their heads above the water.  Something has to give.

Hi  @Deerfish  Woman Happy

Doesnt sounds like a Rant to me.  Sounds like being honest!

Throw in a major change in scents, esp disappearing.  And thinner lotions.

My gosh, you'd think that the bottom line was more important than pleasing customers!

BTW, @Deerfish   Woman Very Happy

@We rescue cats

Did you see the 2 recent Philosophy Purity threads on here recently?

Those threads offer info about a whole series of changes in Purity's formulations, Past, Present & (intended) Future.

And info on Sales, & where to find the particular Purity formulation you prefer.  If that makes any sense.

I can look at my "Notifications" and find those 2 other Purity threads for ya if you want.  Woman Happy

I'm more of a Philosophy MicroDermabrasion gal myself.   Am trying to keep track of those formulation changes also.  Woman Happy

Good luck. Woman Happy
