Re: The Nick Chavez Ethnic Hair Thread.

Good day, ladies and gentlemen. Smile

It's time for my review of another Nick Chavez product that I think would be good for ethnic hair. It's called Nick Chavez Traditions Raindrops. I'll copy and paste what I said in the other Nick Chavez thread.

I'll get right to the point. After washing and conditioning my hair, I sprayed the Traditions Raindrops on. Afterwards, I put on Nick's Velvet Mesquite Serum. The result is that my hair literally feels like a newborn baby's hair. My hair is beyond soft, almost cuddly even. It's wonderful.

Next is the bottle and how to use it. The bottle itself is round and it comes in a spray bottle. What you do is spray about five spritzes in your hand and distribute it throughout your hair. Use a little bit extra for the ends of the hair, since the ends tend to get a bit dry. Then, brush or comb it through your hair and leave it in. Don't rinse or wash it out until you're ready to wash your hair again. It has no sticky residue and just feels like water in your hands. It won't leave any residue on your hair or clothes, either.

Worry not about a scent. The Traditions Raindrops has next to no smell at all. So anyone who's concerned about an overpowering smell or is sensitive to fragrances, or if you have any family members who are sensitive to fragrances, this has no smell at all and will bother no one.

For the men, the color of the Traditions Raindrops spray is a cool blue. The label on the bottle is also a cool blue with silver trim and Nick's name in silver writing. Since it has no girly smell (it has no smell at all), this will look very neutral and masculine next to bottles cologne and shampoo. And since it's so easy to use, just spray it on your hands, slick it through your hair and you can run out the door (no it's not a styling product, but it might be okay to use with one).

Since this made my hair so soft, I highly recommend this for people with dry hair in need of moisture. And even though it made my hair super soft, it didn't make it too soft to where I couldn't do anything with it. I was still able to style my hair with no problem.

So, that's my review of Nick Chavez' Traditions Raindrops. Because it's so easy to use and takes next to no work to put on your hair, I rate it a 5 out of 5.

For the Ethnic men and women, I highly recommend this because of the moisture factor. Using it in combination with Nick's Velvet Mesquite Serum will yield even better results. Another thing, Nick's Traditions Raindrops says that it will neutralize the effects of hard water on the hair. I'm noticing a pattern with Nick's Traditions line and that's moisture, moisture, moisture. A must, in my opinion, for those with ethnic hair or those whose hair is prone to dryness.

For those who didn't want to read that block o' text, here's the summary. Nick Chavez Traditions Raindrops says it will neutralize the effects of hard water on the hair, no girly smell so men will like it and it won't bother those who are sensitive to fragrances, gives the hair much needed moisture, leave no residue on the skin or hair. Just spray it on after you've washed and conditioned your hair, and leave it in.

Have a great day everyone and Happy Thanksgiving. Smile

There's free shipping on Nick's Velvet Mesquite Serum, 5-Piece Advanced Plump 'N Thick Collection and POUF! Hair Raising Styling Foam on QVC.

Have a great day, everyone. Smile

Every show I've seen, and I've watched frequently Nick since he first came to QVC, he references African American, or if you prefer the term ethnic hair types with regard to using his products. On the show this morning with Gabrielle, he not only addressed "our" hair needs, but demonstrated on an African American model and Gabrielle's hair.

I wear an Afro and I can add a big thumbs up for Soft Flocker! It enhances my curls when I air dry, and if I straighten my hair, it is a very good protector and shine enhancer for blowing out kinky-curly hair.

Hello, Trix and welcome. Smile

Been thinking about Nick's SoftFlocker, but wasn't sure how my hair would respond. Now I'm interested in it.

Re: The Nick Chavez Ethnic Hair Thread.

I saw the same show that Trix did. I don't watch QVC often but my tv was on that channel because I had to turn to it last night after seeing the multi threads about the doctor. Anyway, it was good to see Nick and a pleasant surprise to see the model Sue who was featured when he was discussing African American hair. Sue used to be the Morning Show model and I'm glad that QVC is using her again.
