The Difference in Laura G.'s Powder Foundations

If you're wondering what the difference in Laura Geller's Balance & Brighten, Baked Elements, & Double Take Baked foundations, Jillian explains it in the video under product A237805.  If you don't want to watch the entire video, she begins to explain it at the 3:21 point.  This is what she states is the difference:

  • Balance & Brighten - buildable, color correcting.
  • Baked Elements - buildable, luminous finish, mineral, "pure pigment" and not color correcting.
  • Double Take Baked - Full foundation used wet/dry.

Anyone getting Laura's B & B TSV today?

no--not into the illuminating powder--have too many of them now that I don't use. But I do like the balance and illuminate combo, as well as the reg balance and brighten. Thanks for the info tho!

I wear Balance and Brighten in Fair but not sure about TSV. I’ll watch more presentations before deciding. I don’t wear much make up anymore but curious about the gelato illuminator.

My experience with:

BnB: typical powder foundation with medium to heavy coverage semi matte

Elements: semi dewi finish looks like natural skin but looks oily on me sooner/ light to medium coverage & is fine milled

Double Take: looked powdery chalky, very matte and heavy, didn't like trying damp either, fullest powder coverage.

I did buy the TSV in both & in Fair and the other a darker shade for contour. I might end up returning the Diamond Dust if it looks neon as described by Laura's helper after I already placed my order. Didn't realize it flashed violet. Did you buy it, too?

@cw88There's an LG powder called Matte Maker.  There's a duo offered on QVC for $42 and it also comes with a stippling brush.

I tried my LG Double Take Baked on my oily forehead (after blotting) today and it actually did really well! I'm glad it's not still just at the bottom of my drawer now. I usually use another powder & think this did even better.

@StraytoStay-Are you using the Double Take Baked as a powder over another foundation or are you using Double Take as your foundation?
