Influencers have been putting dark shadow against the lashes to save lid space in place of liner. I stumbled through a cut crease and used black shadow to line my deep set eyes. I have a doctor's appointment today, we shall see!
Did the "shadow as liner" work for anyone please?

Many years ago a makeup artist taught me that trick. I have not used traditional liner since. I use a variety of colors from navy to olive green depending on the day, but my favorite is a dark, dark brown.

@ECBG - Yes, I use a dark shadow as a liner quite often. It works well. I have a very small slanted brush that I use for doing this.

Years ago when Leslie still owned bareminerals, they had liner shadows. I have several of them and used to use these as eye liner. They worked well for me.

Laura Geller Eye Rimz worked really well for this. The little brush that came with them was great. I don't see them on her website and really wish they were still available. The colors were very pretty and lasted all day.

I also miss the Geller eyeliner brushes. I use them everyday with the Bobby Brown gel eyeliner.
Then I go over lightly with one of the Geller rimz liners.

Love the look and use one of those thin, slanted brushes. I have blue eyes and usually use a type of taupe.
Also use a little lighter color for the lower.

I use black shadow to tight-line. Just take my lightly damp flat liner brush, swipe it across the black shadow and press, press, press into my lash line. Use this brush to do that.

I have a LOT of eyelid "space". I use regular pencil liner, plus 3 shades of shadow...

@ECBG That never worked for me. I've tried it a number of times on both the upper and lower, and it just doesn't last long. I apply my make up at 5:30AM and take it off at 11:30PM. My liquid liner still looks great, When I did the shadow liner it lasted hours, but not many. Not a fan.
