Today my DD and I went to a HUGE outdoor antique fair in a nearby town.  Knowing we were going to be walking outside, I used LG tinted moisturizer spf 50, LG blush in pink buttercream and on my eyes I used MAC eyeshadow palette called Dusky Rose Times Nine.  I'm not real impressed with this palette nor the other "times nine" palette I have.  They are messy, powdery and don't stay on me very well even with primer.  Got them both in TSV AD and have tried them a few times but just don't love them so think I will put them in the donate box.  The other "times nine" palette I have my DD gave me and I'll keep it and wear it on occasion.

But I tried out a new mascara - the TARTE tubing mascara and it's great!  It was fairly warm by the time we headed home and I had no smudges, flakes and my mascara still looked like I had just put it on.  Know TARTE is having some holiday gift sets with different mascaras so if you want to try it that may be an option.

@JudyL   I was struck by your statement regarding donating the eye shadow.  If I have make-up I don't like, I throw it out.    Just where does one donate used make-up to?

@Citrine1 - I donate to Project Beauty Share.  If you go to their website they will list which products they will and won't accept.  I've been doing this for a while and it makes me feel a bit better when I buy something that ends up not working for me but it's past the return date, I will donate it.  At least someone else will get some use out of it.  This particular charity helps women who are, for whatever reason, trying to get back on their feet again.  They also help other local womens charities with donations of goods too.

Thank you @JudyL .  That's so good to know!

I'm going to go to their website right now and learn more about this.

Appreciate your response!

Yes!  I have the Tarte tubing mascara as well it it does wear well!  I bought it a while back when it was a duo.  I like that it applies cleanly (no clumping, even after 2-3 coats) and wears all day without smudging.  NO raccoon eyes!

@SurferWife - Agree!  It's definitely going on my list of mascaras to keep in rotation.

@JudyL , I wanted ask you about LG blush...I was looking at them but hard to judge colors.  I'm very fair, and I'd like to know which do you think is her lightest pink, if you can say?  There's a duo split pan ,one side highlighter, looks light, but I can't judge on qvc site, it doesn't show the color broken down,  just in the pan.  How's the shade you used?   Also, how do you like the tinted moisturizer...some reviews said its very oily??

I'm looking into Nars got good reviews.

@Dazlin - I like her "Better Than Bare Tinted Moisturizer" spf 50 a lot.  Its not oily on me at all.  I do have normal to dry light medium skin tone so take that into account.  I wear the Beige 200 and its perfect for me.  As for her blushes, today I wore her pink buttercream/french vanilla split blush/highlighter.  The pink buttercream is her most popular shade of blush through all skin tones.  Also, her Ethereal Rose blush is popular but it was too light for me.  With all of LG blushes, I start with a light hand and go from there.  If I were you, I would try the Ethereal Rose blush first.  If you are very fair, it probably would work for you.  If you can't find it on the Q, go to her website, she is having sales and discounts just about every day.  You'd also probably find a good deal on the tinted moisturizer on her website if you decide to try it.

I have the It Cosmetics tubing mascara and like it.  I am going to pick up the Tarte one though!  I have heard good reports on Clinique's version, too.
