Have you used teeth whitening strips or trays that worked well for you and aren't too expensive? Appreciate any tips.

Custom trays are far superior at whitening. They keep the gel where it needs to be, they cover the entire tooth surfaces and they prevent gum damage from gels.
I bought mine directly from a dental lab. I've used them for over 10 years and they last. Don't go to a dentist b/c they will charge you double if not more.

The best over the counter (if that's what you are looking for) would be the Crest white strips. I am a retired dental assistant and yes the dental office will charge more but the results are usually much better when done by a professional. When I was working though, many of our patients did the strips and were quite happy with them.

I have always done the Crest White strips. My other dentist always had them available in a professioal strength. I have also used the Crsst White Sensitive with great results.
