If I had a teen daughter, I would watch the show with her.

There are so many lessons to be taught ---mostly NOT to rely on a boyfriend to support the kid or marry you.

Not to go without your education.

NOT to make thes same mistake twice.

Most importantly, if you are not ready to be a real mother, then let someone else fufill that role as your child deserves to have at least one stable parent.

I sure do! My DD is 14. I just wanted her to see how stressful it really is. The teen parents always seem to have drama, the stress of taking care of an infant, money issues.... I think it is an honest look at all of the stress that is involved with teens having children.

I watch it, but not with her. She will walk by and watch for a little and ask me why I'm watching it. I will point out things like how the guy's life doesn't really change much and the girl has all of the responsibilities. I point out the fighting and how the girl is stuck having to deal with the guy even after they break up.

I definately would not watch this show and neither would my teenage daughter.

I read quite an article over a year ago about girls trying to get pregnant so they can be on the show.

I read an article recently that said a study showed the program has actually led to a decrease in teen pregnancies among those who watch. My daughters are grown but I have grandchildren, two of whom are teens. I would insist that I watch with them and I would be sure to insert editorial comments. Of course they'd probably not want to watch under those circumstances
