Taupe or similar brow pencil that has NO red in it?

Can someone recommend a brow pencil that is good for someone with blonde hair with highlights but not red tones. It seems every time I try a taupe or dark blonde pencil it looks red in the daylight which I do not like on myself. I think I had the ones from HSN sometime ago, but now can't remember if they had a red tint in the taupe universal color.

Smashbox has a taupe with a gray-brown undertone...no red at all...a cooler shade of taupe.

Anastasia has one, but it might be a tad too dark. And, Origins used to have one called Just Browsing. It looks as though it now might be called Fill In The Blanks? That's what I used when I was blonde -- I couldn't abide by any red, either.

Laura Mercier's Blonde. No red. I know what you mean, though. Took me a long time to find one. Many looked fine in the store but had a red tone in other light. I didn't try Smashbox or Mac though so they might be equally good options. Have been using this one for a couple of years and never any red whatsoever. Good luck!

Does it HAVE to be an eyebrow pencil? I like a thicker pencil for my eyebrows .... using a sharp eyebrow pencil takes forever!

What I'm very happy with is the Mally eyeshadow pencil in TAUPE. No red, applies faster and is bulletproof. It's the white tube that you turn to bring it up. I got one on the auction place that starts with an e.

On a tip from this forum I've been using Maybelline color tattoo shadow in tough as taupe on my brows. No red that I can see and it works great. I use an e.l.f. eyeliner brush to apply it.

Silverandgold, I know exactly what you mean! I tried that Laura Geller eyebrow product that came in the tube and has a little brush on it. It was supposed to be taupe but it was soooooo red. Talk about creepy looking. I felt like one of those clowns that scare small children.

I have a very old Smashbox product that I recently started using out of my stash. I'm pretty sure it is the taupe that terrier3 mentioned. It is a two-sided pan with powder on one side and a finishing wax on the other. I like the color, though there is way too much powder relative to the finishing wax. I'm out of wax, but still have plenty of powder. So I put Mally gel brow product (in a green metallic mascara-like wand) over top of it.

I prefer a powder because I can get finer, more natural looking dispersion, and smooth out any heavy application areas with a brush and wax or gel.

Lancome has a good taupe with no red. It may be a little dark for you though. I have medium brown hair, and I use it.
