Re: Tatcha Rice Enzyme Powder: GENTLE vs. CALMING/INDIGO

[ Edited ]

I wish we could try a sampler of the different enzyme product formulas.  Or if they could offer option for a duo in 2 diff formulas.

Wonder if the Deep formula can be used alternating with the other formulas for a deeper exfoliation

I have 'average' skin - rare breakouts and no major sensitivities, can usually try a wide range of products without issues. So i typically purchase the 'classic' or normal formulas.

But I have to be careful with application/treatments like  exfoliation or peels around the nose/lip/nasolabial area bc of temporary redness after treatments

I have both the classic and the deep Chi.  There definitely is a difference.  It is much stronger IMO.  When I do use them for a deep clean I combine the two.

That way it is not too drying.

@Chi-town girl

THANK YOU!  I just placed an order for the BOGO Classic Rice Polish.  I think 3 jars (just got one in the mail this past weekend) will last several months Smiley Happy

@monicakm  - hopefully they offer this twofer again in a couple of months. I will time my reorders for these event offers. I'm interested in a similar offer for the Essence

Yes, I would love to find a good deal  on the Essence as well!  Haven't tried it yet but it gets great reviews everywhere.

@Julie_23

Thank you.  I used it again last night but this time I was more gentle in my application and used it a less amt of time.  I'd already double cleansed with The Ordinary Squlane Cleanser and Tatcha Rice Wash.

@monicakm  - I'm a big fan of Essence.  Have been using Skinn Cosmetics Essence for years. Recently ordered the Tatcha OTO kit that included the Essence.

Skinn Essence is a very good product and I don't think Tatcha Essence is better, nor worse - very much on par. But pricing for Tatcha essence standalone is costly.  I won't pay $80-90 for it. The OTO kit is a good value and I have it on A/D. But I hope they will do a BOGO of the Essence like they just did with the Rice Polish.

@monicakm  - I decided to take a pass on this BOGO, not ready yet for a reorder nor do I want to add to my stash.

I DVR'd the Tatcha weekend show when this was presented. All of the options were offered including the purple but some options sold out.

Looks like they offer this BOGO 2x/yr Woman Very Happy they said on the show it was offered in April 2020 and again now in Sept. They said it will be offered again in April 2021. They need to also do this for the Essence

Re: Tatcha Rice Enzyme Powder: GENTLE vs. CALMING/INDIGO

I have had to return the Classic Rice Polish.  Way too harsh and drying.  Also called the Q to let them know I needed to return the BOGO of the Classic Rice Polish.  Don't have it yet.  I've ordered the purple jar of the polish.  It's for dry skin.  I thought surely they offered the BOGO in all varieties but they didn't Smiley Sad
